13 pounds down in the last 5 weeks. I actually started jogging again about 13 weeks ago but didn't lose any weight until I cut cals. My best NSVs have been being able to jog for longer distances and not being out of breath! The increase in lung capacity has been amazing. The other best thing has been the dramatic decrease in aches and pains. I'm 26 and was waking up being achy and always having spasms and cramps, especially calf cramps. No more since exercising and dropping a few pounds. It's amazing what losing 5% of your body weight will do - I can't wait to see what 40% will do!

I already knew from past experience that being at a lower weight made the heat easier to deal with but I really don't remember getting cold easier. I definitely do get cold easier now though without that extra 100+ pounds of insulation. Also, while driving, I definitely notice how much more uncomfortable sitting on my wallet is without all that padding.9

when i bought chocolate or generally sweet stuff at the supermarket,i had this thought in my head that i would be judged.now i can put them in my cart and i don't feel like someone's thinking about the fat girl buying them.23

It's much easier to sit through, and stay focused, in long meetings and movies now that I'm not preoccupied with how uncomfortable my clothes feel. I have a really short waist so the band of my bra and button on my jeans were constantly digging into my belly and it was a serious brain drain.16

Not having time to try on pants in the store so just buying them anyways and assuming if they dont fit i can lose weight to fit in them....then getting home and trying them on and they fit:)22

I sparked a weight loss trend at my work after dropping 80lbs. At the end of it, I won a bet with a coworker who was also trying to lose weight (the bet was his idea). Now he's in another bet with a couple other coworkers. They're all doing well.35

My GERD is gone!! I threw up a couple times a week before and now I barely ever throw up! I'm also somewhat lactose intolerant and since I eat like a 1/4th of the dairy I used to I feel great!
I had to pack away my 3x clothes cause they are all to big! (Waiting till spring to sell them online) and gave my sister in law my to big jeans.
Most days I actually want to work out and move.
And I feel amazing! I never realized just how awesome all of this would feel. I always assumed I would just slowly keep getting bigger so all unexpected haha21 -

At 42, my wife and I have conceived our first child together. I figured after 25 years of being sexually active along with periods of actually TRYING to conceive that it just wouldn't ever happen. Waddaya know?!144

I gotta go off topic and say this: As the only child of older parents (mom 43, dad 38), having parents who were grown up enough to be secure and confident about who they actually were was a huge, huge gift. My friends' parents seemed kinda partially cooked by contrast.
Congrats! You will have a lucky child . . . not just for you, but for the child.44 -
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I also have the benefit of having raised my two step-daughters for the last 11 years. They are now 12 and 14! As the old saying goes, with age comes wisdom and there are definitely things I will do better and/or differently this time around.
Looks like I will be delaying retirement for a few more years. LOL!24 -
I feel pretty again.
I can do certain yoga moves and breath now because I no longer have a double chin to cut off my windpipe.39 -
Took a walk to the corner shop and caught my much slimmer shadow. Feels great!21
