here is another one that made me feel great! My 12 year old daughter now steals my clothes and wears them! I cant get mad at her bc it feels amazing that we are almost the same size!0

The 'skinnyest' friend in one of my group of friends pulled up to my house on Sunday and started offloading bags of clothes. "Whatever you won't keep just take to Sally Ann" she says. Yeah, right. Just throw them in the back of my truck and I'll take them straight there.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand they fit beautifully. What. The. HEdoublehockeysticks?6 -

This.^^ I have always slept with at least two pillows. Then I went down to one. Now I find myself tossing the pillow during the night and laying flat which helps me sleep better. I just have to remember that at the start because I end up waking up just to toss the pillow.
I've started doing this as well, but this morning it was super cold in our room so I put a pillow over my face while huddling under the blankets. DH had gone to the bathroom, and he told me when he came back that he thought I must have gotten out of bed because he didn't think I was there. As he said, "You've gotten so skinny that when you were laying flat in bed, I didn't even know you were there. " Now that's an NSV! LOL9 -
Unexpected - I have become more interested in clothes & my appearance. A - I was never into buying nice things for myself and B - I used to become very depressed getting ready for work and not fitting well into my work clothes. I have purchased 4 new suits, fitted and even a "slim" fit dress shirt. I actually like getting dressed for work and my confidence has ballooned.
Somewhat expected - I went to my 25th HS reunion and although I really don't keep in touch with anyone I got a ton of comments on my looks. A good friend said I look better now than I did 20 years ago.3 -
Went to the doctors today, and the nurse was blown away by my weight loss (she was seeing over 50 lbs from January, so I told her it was 82 since last summer). She seemed amazed that it was calories in, calories out. When I told her I'd recently started running, she said, "I tried that Couch to 5k app, but I didn't finish," I thought I'd die of pride as I said, "I finished it and am now on C210K. " ME. I did better than that very thin nurse! Unbelievable. Yet there it was.4

Good thread. The only new one I could add was I noticed all the sleeves on my shirts got longer. 379 - 296 lbs made the sleeves on my coat almost 2 inches longer (back fat mostly).silverarcheress wrote: »Good thread. With a similar issue my trousers now seem an extra inch or two longer because my stomach isn't forcing me to drag them up higher on my waist! I unfortunately discovered this when the hems were dragging in the snow yesterday!Cheap tank topteresadutton wrote: »PonyTailedLoser wrote: »Lost friendships
THIS!! WTH is that about??? It is strange isn't it??!!
It's called when you were the fat friend, I got all the attention. Now that you've lost weight, I don't get as much attention. I can't handle it.
Amen. ain't that the truth0 -
When I graduated high school almost 8 years ago I was wearing a size 12 in my jeans. I got all the way up to a size 22. Subtract 75lbs and today I'm wearing a size 10 jeans and I weigh 15lbs more than what I weighed in high school. I am over the moon happy. It still blows my mind that my next size that I will get into will be a single digit!2

That the self control skills I'm learning from changing my eating habits will translate to other parts of my life (yes, I see you, Netflix....)

I surprised myself a couple of weeks ago when I went to try on some pants for winter season (i live in Fl, it hasn't really even started getting cold yet...)and i Comfortably fit into a size 10. 6 weeks before then I was a 14.0

Due to minor surgery I got told not to do any intense excersise for a few days. I was suprised at how annoyed I was to read it. I know why (to protect the healing process, heatbeat, blood pressure etc), still annoys me. Still going for a nice walk in the afternoon though. I need fresh air.2

I discovered that I could wear high heels that used to ache and I would blame the design of the shoe but when I had lost my weight I realized I was so much lighter on my feet that it was no longer painful. That was a huge "oh yeah" moment.
Me too! I just recently bought three new pairs of shoes because I can finally wear heels and they don't kill my feet!

How much I enjoy and crave my workouts.
Checking myself out in any reflective surface! I can't even help it! And taking selfies!
Dressing up!
Just like others have said, I'm freezing all the time!!
Some of the reactions you get to your weight loss, or lack of reactions.
How much advice people have, and how bad some of it is.
Not getting winded doing household chores
When your husband asks if you're sleeping because he can't hear you breathing like he usually does.
Sex is sooooo much better!

Down 54 pounds since mid-April 2015, now 129 at 5'5", nearly at goal.
- I can't figure out where to shop, because I only know which plus-size places have clothes I can live with, and I"m on all the plus-size catalog mailing lists.
- When I put my hand on my hip, it freaks me out: Instead of feeling squish, I can feel these muscle-y things moving around in there. Whoa!
- I had to put drawstrings into my workout leggings to keep them from falling down. Now they're workout pants - totally loose through the thighs/hip.
- Clothes that fit look *ridiculously* tiny. (Down from 16W (U.S.) jeans to 6P.)
- When I say "excuse me" while moving around people in tight aisles, they think I'm saying they're in my way, when it's just that I still visualize myself as too big to fit politely through the narrow space.
- My torn meniscus (left knee) hurts much less often, and less severely.
- I'm much more likely to make multiple trips up & down stairs at home, vs. planning them with strategic efficiency.
- I can feel spring in my step again (vs. lumbering along from side to side).
- My cholesterol, triglycerides, etc., are now in the middle of the normal range, rather than being too high (or *very* too high), and HDL went up from a barely-OK 40 to a good 65.
- I don't have many full-length mirrors at home (coincidence, not intent). When I stayed at my sister-in-law's, where there are lots in the bedroom, I noticed that my (60-year-old!) thighs don't appear to have cellulite. (!!!)
- I'm better at remembering numbers (from measuring and recording all those food grams).
- In that quad stretch where you grab your foot behind your thigh, it's now easy for me to grab the foot (vs. having to put it out to the side & contort) because my thigh doesn't get in the way.
- When I row, at full compression (the catch end of the stroke), I can feel my knees in my armpits.

That reactions to my weight loss (75 lbs so far) would range from others being proud of me, to fascinated by it, to frustrated. I am still confused by those who seem angry about it. . .4

I used to hate wearing anything tight. If it pressed against my stomach I felt uncomfortable. It still bothers me to a degree even though I am skinny now. I now love tighter jeans. I thought they were for gays and cowboys. Just what I told myself.2

I want to thank y'all because this is the thread that keeps me going when i want to quit.1
