Unexpected results of weight loss

Down 54 pounds since mid-April 2015, now 129 at 5'5", nearly at goal.
- I can't figure out where to shop, because I only know which plus-size places have clothes I can live with, and I"m on all the plus-size catalog mailing lists.
- When I put my hand on my hip, it freaks me out: Instead of feeling squish, I can feel these muscle-y things moving around in there. Whoa!
- I had to put drawstrings into my workout leggings to keep them from falling down. Now they're workout pants - totally loose through the thighs/hip.
- Clothes that fit look *ridiculously* tiny. (Down from 16W (U.S.) jeans to 6P.)
- When I say "excuse me" while moving around people in tight aisles, they think I'm saying they're in my way, when it's just that I still visualize myself as too big to fit politely through the narrow space.
- My torn meniscus (left knee) hurts much less often, and less severely.
- I'm much more likely to make multiple trips up & down stairs at home, vs. planning them with strategic efficiency.
- I can feel spring in my step again (vs. lumbering along from side to side).
- My cholesterol, triglycerides, etc., are now in the middle of the normal range, rather than being too high (or *very* too high), and HDL went up from a barely-OK 40 to a good 65.
- I don't have many full-length mirrors at home (coincidence, not intent). When I stayed at my sister-in-law's, where there are lots in the bedroom, I noticed that my (60-year-old!) thighs don't appear to have cellulite. (!!!)
- I'm better at remembering numbers (from measuring and recording all those food grams).
- In that quad stretch where you grab your foot behind your thigh, it's now easy for me to grab the foot (vs. having to put it out to the side & contort) because my thigh doesn't get in the way.
- When I row, at full compression (the catch end of the stroke), I can feel my knees in my armpits.

That reactions to my weight loss (75 lbs so far) would range from others being proud of me, to fascinated by it, to frustrated. I am still confused by those who seem angry about it. . .4

I used to hate wearing anything tight. If it pressed against my stomach I felt uncomfortable. It still bothers me to a degree even though I am skinny now. I now love tighter jeans. I thought they were for gays and cowboys. Just what I told myself.2

I want to thank y'all because this is the thread that keeps me going when i want to quit.1

I can scratch my back! All over my back.2

Room to turn around in the shower!2

Driving has become increasingly more painful because my tailbone is no longer protected by a thick layer of fat.

Another one from me:
I've always loved clothes, but after buying two new sports bras at the weekend I've also just realised that losing weight has made me develop a new-found obsession with gym wear. I now have more workout leggings than actual trousers!
Unfortunately I've already got too small for the gym clothes I bought six months ago... I discovered this doing lunges in BodyCombat when my shorts started to fall down - sorry people standing behind me, I think you might have briefly seen my knickers!

Attention from males coming a lot sooner. I expected it at maybe 50lb+ loss but not, 20. It also doesn't help that I'm losing everywhere but my boobs which are drawing me the most unwanted attention. It seems they're magnified because my waist is slimming down but I've always been large breasted. I mean, I had a random guy literally ask me my size and I about annihilated him.
To top it all, I was called a black dolly Parton by a homeless guy whilst volunteering at a soup kitchen the other day. It would be a compliment except it's obvious the only thing we have in common is large breasts. I'm not even half her age, can't sing like her, with no likeness le sigh... It's quite comical really but I just wasn't expecting it so soon I suppose.5 -
How quickly you adapt to eating smaller portions. Coming from someone who's always had eyes bigger than her stomach.1

I bought a very nice, heavy coat for duck hunting before I started losing weight. It is so big now and the sleeves seem so long. It just isn't going to work....0 -
You are all wonderful people!
It has taken me a while, but I read every single post on this thread for motivation and inspiration, getting ridiculously excited when someone mentioned something I could relate to (the knees, abdominal pulse and being able to sleep flat on my back comfortably were my favourites, I used to have four pillows all around me to help me sleep), but I didn't see one thing mentioned, which I only realised when I caught a cold:
I now sneeze in a very delicate, ladylike manner!
No more giant AAAAATCHOOOs that can be heard all over the office. I no longer feel like an elephant trumpeting all over the place. I love my new sneeze!9 -
Spending more money on cycling and running clothes than work clothes.
