It is not normal to be able to just float on your back when you are swimming.
I realized this on vacation when i sank like a stone. It was really scary at first.3 -

Coccyx pain after sitting....my daughter who is a skinny minny says this is a normal thing for her.0 -
Have to replace my favorite knee boots because I bought them wife calf, and they fall down and flop around now! & im not even halfway done !2

1. Sitting in booths at restaurants...and fitting.
2. I STILL, years later, feel bigger than I am.
3. I STILL, also, get the urge to shop at the Big & Tall store, so buying clothing at a "normal" store was a pretty awesome feeling.
4. More energy in general...started unable to walk 1/2 mile and now can run 5k's multiple times a week.
5. Having seatbelts in small vehicles and planes fit around me.
6. Getting into a canoe and not sinking it.
7. Many, many more that I can't think of at this moment...this is nice to type out...it's a bit of a motivator!!
I know what you mean about booths at restaurants! I was starting to hate them but now I fit!3 -

We're in the middle of a cyclone and I'm stuck inside and can't go out for a run and it actually really pissed me off! Never thought I'd be the one that loves exercise! Can't wait to lose the rest of it so I can experience some of these other things y'all are mentioning!
I get like this, I get antsy. I was on a long weekend girls trip and could not sit still. My travel partners couldn't understand For the last month it has been back pain keeping me from working out like I want. Finally getting better thankfully. I need my gym time
Me too! I have a new born and some days I just cant get out to go exercise. My wife is still adjusting so sometimes I don't go to the gym but i get all antsy. So one day I found an old jump rope and i figured out I could jump rope in the foyer (where it's a high ceiling) while my wife naps and the baby sits in the swing. It's great, plus I think the baby likes watching daddy jump!16 -
I wear shorter skirts now and have to be more careful to sit like a lady. I also had to practice how to get in and out of a car and slide out of a restaurant booth gracefully. I sleep much better and have more energy to do what I want to do. It hurts when I sit and I sit on a pillow on the seat when we go on long road trip.4

I get drunk faster and with less alcohol.
We went out for a fancy dinner for my birthday last night. 3 glasses of wine over 3 hours with a big meal and I was really feeling it. I'm so glad I didn't also have that martini I was contemplating.5 -

Yes yes yes!! I used to be able to handle 9+ beers in a night, now if I have more than 3 I'm falling down! And any hard alcohol is off limits!!0 -

I'm having this same issue, all my boots are wide calf and they just fall down or look ridiculous :-/2 -
bump (I love this thread)2

My balance is so much better. When I was 60kg heavier I was always losing my balance and bumping into things or jarring my back from trying to keep myself upright. Now that I'm lighter and have worked on my core stability I barely worry about it. Going up/down stairs? No problem, whereas before I'd grip the hand rails for dear life because I was worried I'd fall down (or up) them. And even if I do, getting up off the ground isn't as much of a task now10

My golf game went to crap. It wasn't great to start with but the muscle memory was totally screwed up because of the redistribution of mass I think.

I thought mine might get better, being able to swing through the ball better with less body in the way. However, no real change. I think I just need to play more to get better

Meeting my collarbones was amazing. Turns out now though that the strap on all my cross body bags (gym bag, hang bag, overnight bag) HURT. Maybe I just need to learn how to pack lighter hahaha5

The energy level and that if I don't catch myself it comes right back. Fortunately I think my brain is catching up and when I feel 3 - 5 pounds in the wrong direction I know what to do.
Also, the mental aspects. I am a much happier, nicer version of me when I am fueling correctly and exercising. Helps balance life's stressors!3 -
I realised this morning that the reason my necklace looks longer is because my neck is now thinner!5

I didn't predict how much more I'd enjoy food, eating, cooking, and thinking about all of those. No, it's not because I'm hungry!
I used to mindlessly shovel things into my mouth for lots of reasons - hunger, boredom, tastiness, stress, habit, whatever.
When I committed to weight loss, I began thinking about which foods I found most tasty, satisfying, and nutritious. Surprisingly many things that went in my mouth were poor contributors, even though I had a reasonably healthy diet (been vegetarian 41 years, ate all kinds of fruits, veggies & whole grains, etc.).
When I considered my eating more thoughtfully, I started getting more enjoyment from what I ate. I paid more attention to savoring my meals. I started cooking more thoughtfully, too, spending a bit more time on it (pleasurably, and there was a good return on my minor extra time investment, in terms of tastiness/satisfaction as well as cost savings).
Because of that increase in from-scratch cooking & eating at home, because I was eating less volume, and because of specific food-choice changes, I found myself spending noticeably less money on food. Then I decided I could use part of those savings to enjoy delicious, healthy foods that were a little more expensive, and still have a lower food budget.
So, it's a win all the way around: I'm at goal weight, I feel better in sooooo many ways (some of which are nutritional), I'm enjoying my eating more than previously, I'm enjoying food-prep as a relaxing & satisfying activity, and I'm saving money.17 -
GUYS.
I HAD TO TIGHTEN UP MY WATCH BAND.
MY WATCH BAND.
(Also, my "these jeans are way too tight, but I ordered them online and am too lazy to return them" FIT.....LIKE RIGHT OUT OF THE DRYER WITHOUT THE NEED TO PERFORM SEVERAL DEEP KNEE BENDS SO AS TO AVOID DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS).
All caps, people, that's how excited I am.46 -
My poor, old sagging breasts now seem almost perky since they now rest on my ribcage and not my bloated belly!35
