Good morning ladies! Weather fine here in the south of England.:drinker:

Granmallie. - I hope you find it was just dementia or a urinary tract infection. Otherwise, good on you for checking it out.

Yanniejannie. - wonderful NSV! :flowerforyou: How great was that! At my SIL' s party in 2 weeks time I hope I will get a similar reaction, but sometimes I am a bit disappointed by people's attitudes. I can see them do a double take and then they don't say anything. Maybe they think by saying anything they will be implying I used to be fat. Which I was of course. Perhaps it's just British reserve and sometimes of course it's just jealousy!

In fact a couple of friends have been a bit slow in contacting me recently. I deliberately try to shut up about my fitness plan, but I know my success makes them feel a bit green. It's a shame because they are people I really love, but it's hard for them to lose the weight they want to.

That's why it's so good to have my Vit F friends where I can boast or moan or sob. :flowerforyou:

NSV today. I went on my lane walk today and managed it in 54 minutes! That is 4 minutes faster than last time! I went round the other way so the gradients weren't quite the same, but I really went for it and my back was aching! I was thinking of you lot cheering me on all the way round. I really thought I wasn't going to equal my PB and was moaning, but DH cheered me on and I bust it! :drinker: I wore my new TIGHT top, new trainers which stopped my knee clicking and even new shortie trainer socks, which I have never had before. All I need now is some TIGHT leggings! !!!!!!!!:blushing: I love my top, the shelf bra is very comfortable. I'm only a C cup so the tats are fine.

The skirt I took to the cleaners to be altered is great. It looks like brand new. All the seams finished perfectly. Cost me £15, but it was worth it as it is a pure linen Hobbs skirt and always gets compliments. I wear it winter and summer. Had about 2 1/2 inches off the waist.

Meg. - glad to hear your Dad is improving.

Sorry for all those who have family/friend worries. Hope things improve. My two boys are useless communicators. I have had no thanks for a recent birthday present and emails don't get answered. My friends say boys are like that! They are 36 and 34 though!

Enough for now. Have a great Sunday! :flowerforyou:

    Good morning ladies!

Although I have not posted for some time, I do read all of the posts twice daily. I am going through some major stress at work and have no energy left to compose the responses that I would love to make. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. NSV- Not resorting to stress eating and have actually lost a few pounds that had crept back on.

Connie  Sure hope you can find all your information!!!!

Terri from OR  Sounds like you had a nice afternoon at the garden party!!!

Heather  When I started losing weight, I think I was down 25 pounds or so, 2 sizes smaller:bigsmile: , I was out walking the dog(Noel) and my sister-in-law came by, she said “Oh wow Noel has really lost some weight” , not one word about me being 2 sizes smaller:grumble: ! Oh well, jealousy is not nice! Congrats on your faster walking!!! Yes, go buy some tight leggings to go with your tight shirt….show off that great body:bigsmile: !!!

Deb  Nice to see you again! Great NSV, no stress eating!!! Hope the stress lets up soon:flowerforyou: !

Hello from a new joiner .. dropping by a BIT early at 49 and a half years old!

Been calorie counting successfully (whoop) since early May but had bad news on Friday as I need another knee operation (I have had 4 and long to get back to the outdoor activities I love but can't do with a bad limp) so am simply
keen to stay on track this June ... and not go back to finding comfort in the biscuit tin ;)

    Good luck all x

    Good Morning/or Evening..depends on where you are;
I am still going thru a bad bout of Fatigue..lots of Arthritis & Fibro pain...but trying to overthink them and play like those things are not happening to me:noway: This wet horse blanket that is wrapped over my shoulders( that is how I describe the weight on my shoulders) is a killer to overlook....
I have been reading the posts and it is so nice to read how you all live your lives..feels like we are setting across fr each other and talking...or in a group...
There are newbies that joined in and I welcome each of you to this wonderful group..they let you know they support and help all they can  ..it is great!!!
About my SS..I went in with her to see her Dr's and they told us that her cancer is one of the worst kinds to have..that it is very aggressive...I believe they said it was a C Cell Cancer...can jump from place to place very rapidly...I know her prognosis is horrible to hear..but they said the Radiation Treatments shrunk the one in the lung a little bit..that is what I focused on that maybe this can be prolonged with such treatments..I want her here as long as possible ..in the shape she is now { still up and going about as she would normally do... without too much pain}...I know it will get worse  I pray everyday that The Lord keeps her free from severe pain as long as possible
    The day here is going to be a foggy one....mild temps..but I will get some more rest so I can enjoy the day with my SH..Praying you all have a great Sunday in the ways that give you joy...{{ hugs}}

What an incredible photo Joy! Wow.

    Well, happy Sunday!
I've been busy as a bee with gardening. Full day of it yesterday with a 2 hr break to take the dogs across the river to our favorite stretch of beach that takes a bit of a hike to get to. Thus, very few people there. It was lovely, the dogs swam and chased the ball, I must have walked a gazillion steps. My legs were dead tired last night but I'm rested and raring to go again today. Watering, harvesting and more planting on the agenda, and oh, I really should do some cleaning. You know the saying, though, "Should never did *kitten*"

I've heard about putting the flowers from garlic chives in vinegar, maybe I'll try that since the garlic chives are getting ready to bloom. In my herb bed I have sweet basil, cilantro, dill, regular and garlic chives, thyme, sage, Italian parsley, lovage, lavender, rosemary, lemon verbena, mint and Greek oregano. I harvest and dry most things, others I chop in the food processor with a bit of olive oil and store in zip lock bags in the freezer. The lemon verbena makes the most delightful sun tea!

Michele, beet greens are fabulous steamed, both stems and leaves. I've heard the stems are good pickled, but I've never done it. I just steam the greens and serve them with a tiny speck of butter, salt & pepper, the same as I do with swiss chard and spinach. I think beet greens win the taste test overall.

Enjoy your day everyone! Be kind to yourselves, eat well, be well. As we move forward in our weightloss journies, we all encounter troublesome days where we eat things we probably shouldn't. Best thing to do is to let it go, learn from it and hop back on the road to success, pronto. Emphasis on "learn from it." :flowerforyou:

It is so wonderful to read about others and their progress and trials along the way.

JB: I especially appreciate your reminder to learn from our mistakes and move along. I am struggling with self-discipline. I feel like people in my life deliberately tempt me. What a cop out. I know that if I want to lose the weight, then I should not put the "Turkish Delights" in my mouth. They may be tasty, but they are harmful.

Sunshine: Looking at your picture takes my breath away! I would be proud too! Way to go!!

Everybody have a great Sunday and stay on course!

I am so disgusted I could spit nails. I weighed 202.4 this morning. I was doing better in losing weight just watching calories, not even following a diabetic diet and definetely before I started exercising. I don't know if I need to take a week off and get my head on straight or not

Joyce: My weight seems to hit a new low, then bounce up for a while, then go below the original new low. Maybe yours is doing something similar. I doubt you are doing anything wrong. Keep the faith, as they say. I have to say that I also think Barbie is Wonder Woman.:flowerforyou:

Lin in Central Iowa: What is “nutritarian”? It isn’t a term I’ve heard before.

Lorrain: Everybody blows it now and then. There is no reason to beat yourself up over it if you just get back on track. Nobody is perfect all the time. You’re not a failure unless you give up.:flowerforyou:

Meg: I’m glad your dad felt enough better to wear a shirt and love the 'grandpas know everything' slogan.

Cheryl: I’d be worried about Jackson, too. Alcohol is the #1 gateway drug as far as I’m concerned. He’s probably just looking forward to getting his life back, and that includes tipping a few beers. I don’t know whether it is possible to do more than pray, but maybe a word to him about embracing moderation wouldn’t hurt. Maybe it would make him mad and stubborn. Good luck. Prayer never hurts.:flowerforyou:

Connie: I have a neighbor who loves genealogy tracking so much she’s offered to do some for me. Good luck getting this all straightened out.:flowerforyou:

Terri: Your garden party sounds like a huge NSV to me. (NSV=non-scale victory) All that self-control is admirable.

Annsan: Welcome. This weight loss journey is one of the contests where the tortoise wins. Be optimistic and persistent. You’ll win. :flowerforyou:

Heather: You’re bursting with NSV’s today. Congratulations! My son is a better communicator than my daughter, when he’s in a position to do so. He is in the military and there are periods of time that he can’t make contact. Friends that don’t contact you are either busy with their own problems, or not the world’s best friends. I have a number of friends that I don’t hear from for months at a time, but that is because we don’t live nearby anymore and all have busy lives. You would know which slot to put yours in.:flowerforyou:

Joy: OMG! I would never dare to stand on that boulder. Never! It is a lovely picture.:flowerforyou:

Liz from Halifax: I’m sorry the medical news for your sister is so scary. Enjoy every minute you can together.

JB: I love your garden reports. Congratulations on your day at the beach with the dogs. It sounds wonderful. I don’t remember any beaches on the Washington side of the Columbia up near Portland. Was it another river or am I missing a gem?:flowerforyou:

Yesterday’s class at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine was a treat. I’m still digesting the abundance of information I heard. This was a seminar intended for the public and aimed at women approaching menopause and beyond. There were some professional Acupuncturists in the audience, too. The presenter is a fabulous woman who is both an MD and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She has been treating DH for his MS for a couple of years now and that is how I know her. I came away with a number of pamphlets, some notes and a little bit of understanding of the Chinese medicine system, which is based on centuries of observation rather than western scientific process. We did a little hands-on massage and sampled different teas that are formulated for women to enhance beauty, tranquility, happiness and digestion. I enjoyed the tea for beauty and the tea for happiness the best. Pamphlet titles I brought home include: Healthy Blood Pressure, the Common Cold, Qigong Self Massage, Healthy Sleep, Breath Work & Traditional Chinese Medicine, Healing Low Back Pain, and Breast Health. I haven’t had a chance to study these yet. Let me know if you’re interested in a summary of any of these cards. I hope to have the chance to attend other lectures there.

Getting ready to start my walk…

Joy—your photo is breathtaking, I get slightly dizzy looking at it and I agree with Katla, I would never attempt to stand on that boulder! What an impressive number of calories burned!!

Katla—your class on Oriental Medicine sounds interesting, I always enjoy attending seminars.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday, it’s a beautiful morning here in southern Oregon.

Just jumping in for a quick one to say -
Lizplus - sorry to hear life is heavy. We feel other's pain more than our own and it can't be easy having the physical limitations that take away the energy you want to spend on loved ones. Courage! You are doing your sis so much good just by being there.

Joyce. My weight went up again last week for no reason at all, but I guess it was sodium and weight training. This is temporary water and will level out. Mine was back down today, but I have not lost anything this week. Darn it! :explode: :grumble:
Keep going, you are doing so well and you have made real gains in strength and fitness.

DBIL and DSIL are in flooded Budapest, but luckily above the flood level. It looks terrible on the news.

:flowerforyou: Terri, you have found one of the greatest keys to weight loss----staying away from “recreational food”. The first time I went to an event that served food and ate ahead of time, I made the decision to eat nothing and to put my energy into talking to people…..it was a huge success and I’ve been doing the same thing now for years.

:flowerforyou: Annsan, welcome……walking is a great start….walking more is even better, but one of the greatest ways to improve your metabolism is strength training…..I read a “Strong Women Stay Young” and learned all the benefits of strength training and found a great program I could do at home with only a small amount of equipment to purchase.

:flowerforyou: Viv, there are many days that I have to choose between exercise and posting on MFP and exercise always seems more important.

:flowerforyou: Cheryl, Jackson may very well be an alcoholic, in which case the positive effect produced by alcohol will be more important to him than the negative effects.......it may take awhile before he recognizes the need to stop:cry:

:flowerforyou: Heather, I have never been able to rely on friends for the support and encouragement I’ve needed on this journey…….we are so blessed to have this thread and MFP…..I have to be my own biggest cheerleader. Today when I was walking, it got warm and I took off my jacket and used the sleeves to tie it around my waist….I remember when I was too fat to do that……the other thing I did was to admire my shadow and how slim I look now….because I didn’t used to.

:flowerforyou: Deb A. I just looked at your before and after picture and you look fabulous---congrats on avoiding stress eating……post when you can….we love hearing from you

:flowerforyou: Joy, I am experiencing both awe and terror looking at your picture…..i look forward to hearing more about the adventure.

:flowerforyou: DeeDee, my lapses are never sugar
cornbread or any kind of bread is what gets me:laugh:

 Liz, sending hugs to you and your sister

:flowerforyou: Jb, your hike and river adventure with your dogs sounds awesome.

:flowerforyou: Debbie in Chicago, you are so right to stop blaming others for tempting us with treats

:flowerforyou: Joyce, take a look at your food diary and start eliminating bread, cheese, processed foods (the stuff with high sodium) and you won’t have the discouraging news from the scale…….any day that my sodium intake is much over 1600 mg, I see bad news on the scale for the next three ofrfour days.

:flowerforyou: Katla, as you read the cards from the Oriental Medicine event, I hope you’ll share what seemed useful to you

 Today is our Isagenix cleanse day which always turns into a sort of a rest day. I slept later than usual then walked the dogs and worked in the yard for awhile. I like to do all the heavier stuff early in the day before my body figures out how few calories I will be giving it. This is the day I do laundry and watch a lot of TV with Jake.

:glasses: :glasses: this is post #495.......after post #500, the thread will be locked and a new thread will start automatically (the system does this)........there will be a line at the bottom of post #500 that is a link to the new thread......look for it before you reply....then click on it and write your reply on the new thread.

NewLorraine- " Stop"! Shout that word outloud, and then stop beating yourself up. You reached 30 days, celebrate the fact that you are being honest with yourself about what you eat, when you eat it and that those were choices you made at that time. You do not need to chose to "quit" because you stumbled. Get up, brush yourself off, and carry on. You are still on the path, you just skinned your knees a little bit! OK- I am done nagging now. Are you still my friendf?

Annsan- Welcome! Weight loss does get slower as we get older, but it does happen! Slow loss is better than no loss. I really just wanted to welcome you and encourage you to keep visiting this site. The support is awesome.

Grandmagege- I would love to visit Key West, BUT isn't there this bridge thing? Yes, I am a wuss!

Sunshine61250- So, you lost your weight and your MIND all at the same time!!!!! ( see the previous post - I repeat- I am a wuss!) Congratulations on your bravery and your accomplishments.

Liz fr Halifax- I am so sorry that you are in both physical and emotional pain. My prayers for healing to you and your SS.

Joyce- Climb back up out of the dumps; it is a lousy place to be. You've lost 33 lbs- - - that is awesome! I don't think you get exercise points for beating yourself up, maybe you should go back to the stuff you were doing that did work- - - -just sayin'.

Good afternoon, Ladies--- I just read the notes I made as I was reading the posts. Oh, my, I am a bit bitey today. I am sorry if I offended anyone. I think I need the kick in the pants, so,,,, here goes:
When I don't feel well or am struggling w/ something emotional, I tend to keep myself apart from people and places that would be good for me- friends' home, church, etc- well, I have been in hiding for the last three days. I know that part of it is the "I just don't feel well" crap, but It is not good for me to isolate. So, one of my goals for today is to call and make this same statement about isolating to my friend who lives only 32 miles from me and my SO, who is right now over 2000 miles from me. One of the reasons that it is not good for me to isolate is that then it is too easy to sneak food or graze. So far, I have been honest w/ my daily counts, but the longer I stay away from people who care and know me, the easier it will be to fall off the good path.
    Thanks for listening.

Be well, my friends and take care of yourselves....
    Pat (phoo)

I am 50 and in best mind and body ever...You have to love 50...I am so comfortable with who I am and just want to be alot less me!! 31/2 weeks in and I'm 8 lbs smaller with 130 left to lose. I have chosen to concentrate on 10# at a time so my frustation will not be so great. I am from the middle of Illinois where corn and soybeans grow best.
I chose this group as I am older then 49 and feel a kinship those experienced in life as I am.
I will keep me goals simple this month:

Consume 80 oz of water daily.

Salad for lunch 5 days a week.

To exercise daily for 30 minute

    Talk to you all soon!

    afternoon ladies,
busy busy day for me, and I am feeling it.. did just treat myself to a 1/2 cup of low fat vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup.. was very yummy..
got up and went to the gym,did the treadmill and elliptical-shouldnt have but I did.. did the machines, at a greater level than usual i was able to press 190lbs on the leg press, came home went to Pet Smart got some dog food for Homer ,who is as freakin finicky as they come.. then to Home Depot for more bird seed, shamed again:grumble:
then to buy myself string cheese, forgot to get it when I went grocery shopping and it is a great quick snack ,50 calories for the weight watcher's ones..
came home and mowed the lawn..and then came in and made tapioca pudding for the DH..
at the gym I go to they have a 2 for 1 special so the DH could join I put the bug in his ear, would love to have him go.. but can't force him..
took a nice bath ,but wow is my foot sore..will stay off it the rest of the night...
I am soooo excited my Fit Bit Flex should be here by Weds.. another something to help me keep on track...
I know I will sleep good tonight, alot of fresh air and exercise today...
Joy- Bless You , there is no way on God's green earth you would get me that high up anywhere..
Like the comedian John Pinette says -I don't do Ups, no rides, no walks, especially if it is near a cliff or something..
scared of high places.. the older I get..
the DH want's to go up Mt Washington in N.H., told him have fun I will stay down at the base.. my parent's took my brother and I up when we were little in a VW bug, it is basically a one way rd with NO guardrails.. I still have nightmares:noway:

Hello to all -- newbies and regulars alike! Spent a great day yesterday with my friend (the one where we do a craft or activity every month), and we also went to the other sister-from-another-mother to surprise her for her birthday. Good stuff...

Set up communion at church this morning and all of a sudden my gut went crazy. After several ins/outs during the service I finally just came on home. That finally settled down and I just made a fruit/veggie smoothie for my lunch. Also got some laundry done in between the quick trips.

I needed to pick up the malfunctioning lawnmower after its service -- $120 for a new carburator. Since they had said they wouldn't get to the repair for a couple of weeks (Ha!) we did go ahead and engage the Son-IL from across the street and for $20 every two weeks he will do the whole shebang going forward. I'm very pleased - especially with the hot, humid summer coming up! If we get a wild hair and decide we want to mow in between, at least the machine is fixed. When DH gets home we will get it out of my car.

From the pick up I went to the Y and did 35 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weight machines (over 31,000 pounds today!) and sweat like there was no tomorrow. Maybe I ran out whatever was bugging my system today. Hope so!

DH participated in a fundraiser golf tournament recently and bought an Italian dinner for 8 as a silent auction item. Now we are debating who to invite to go along. It will be a set menu, on a Monday-Thursday evening. (Maybe I'd better take the next day off work!

Well, need to go do the folding and start some sort of evening meal. Hope everyone has a great week! I try to read the posts in the AM and PM, to keep up, yet some days are better than others.

Making garlic shrimp pasta for dinner, it's DH favorite, the more garlic the better. I will have a small amount of pasta, but I bought dreamfields, so it is supposedly lower carb. I still will only have a little bit. It has lots of peppers and onions, mushrooms and zucchini and of course shrimp. It is very good, but you do use a lot of olive oil. Tomorrow is weigh in and I'm hoping for some movement this week.

Joy- glad that was you on that rock and not me, I have vertigo and would fall if I looked down.:noway:

JB - thanks for the info about garlic chive flowers. I'm going to try it. And thanks for answering Michele's question. I usually avoid beets. Ha. With CSA you never know what you'll get so I'm open to trying them again. I was hoping for kohlrabi but none this week. Maybe next time.

Everyone be well. MEG - we got rain but no storms so far.

I was disgusted enough that I had made this decision to go to Steak and Shake and get one of my favorite meals, Chili mac supreme. I had already put it in my diary even though I saw what the carbs, fat and sodium was. But the more I thought about it I decided to ask for the pasta to be on a seperate plate and I could control how much of it I ate. So the fixins for the chili mac supreme all came out in seperate little cups, onions, cheese, chilli and 'mac sauce' along with a plate of pasta!! I was surprised to see how minuscule amount of chili is in it, most of it is the mac sauce. So I took half the pasta, the tiny bit of chili, about half the mac sauce, pinch of cheese and the onions. The coupon came with a side salad and I had them hold the croutons and cheese. So when I redid my diary I was very pleased to see that I was less than the 2000 mg of sodium for the day and I'm even too low on calories. So I guess I have picked myself up, brushed myself off and am OK. I had a nice supper, one of my favorite in fact. My daughter and husband had chocolate shakes and I didn't. I just hope the scale is kind to me tomorrow.

  • Happy Sunday everyone,

Got up early and we fixed something for the pot luck at church. Took off and went to Sunday school and church and potluck, and are now home. I have not done one form thing in exercise.... so I will post and get something done!

Terri - Good Job on not eating much at the garden party!

Heather - Congrats on beating your time on your walk and on the skirt taken in 2 inches You are doing awesome! :flowerforyou:

Deb A - So sorry about the stress, just come here when you can. My job is stressful too…Oh to be independently wealthy and I would retire right now… but then again that would bring on a world of different stress I am sure.

Joy: OMG…. Awesome pic… would scare me spit less… but awesome none the less.

Dee Dee - I do have all my information on pedigree pages handwritten each one… it just took forever to enter all of that etc. What they are wanting is to put everything in a new tree that we would download to our computer. No sure I want to do that AND pay them for the ability to do my genealogy. I could buy software to do that very thing, but I like the linking with others to find clues to the family line. Still no answer to my email…:ohwell: and I was nice honest.

Liz- Hugs and love to you. Hope your pain subsides soon, so sorry about your sis!

Katla- My oldest daughter worked for a Chiropractic clinic that had an acupuncturist there. She has always had a problem with hypothyroidism, and anemia. When she worked there, she saw the acupuncture Dr. for her Thyroid, and she was never so healthy as then. Her regular Dr. also told her after she got married that she probably would never be able to conceive as she had PCOD, and was full of cysts in her ovaries. Her acupuncture Dr. addressed that as well and she has 2 healthy girls. First ultrasound of her first girl showed NO cysts at all.

Cheryl - My DH, and DAD were alcoholics, I honestly do not know what I would have done without my faith sometimes. My Dad took his life. Now my youngest is living with an alcoholic as well. Breaks my heart. Just know I am ALWAYS here if you need to talk. Nothing would surprise me. DH was actually one 2 times. He beat it in 1975, and the VA in it's “Wisdom” put him on a Mediterranean Diet when his cholesterol numbers were high in 2009…. In that Diet you have a glass of wine with your dinner…. You guessed it… that was all it took. Took to last year for him to be free again. All you can do is love them, you will never change them, they have to do that.

Ok pretty ladies... to all. I need to climb on the trampoline and do something constructive while dh naps...I like rebounding! Have a wonderful evening!

Connie - I hope you can get into your tree. How frustrating! I have found that most times companies are quite helpful so please let us know what the outcome is. I had this printer program on my computer to print out coupons. Well, an automatic update had me using IE10, I was having problems so Vince put me back to IE9. Then the coupon program wouldn't work. I called coupons.com and they called me back. In the end, don't ask me how it happened, but I got it to work.

Terri from Oregon - good for you resisting the wine and just having water. Actually, in such heat, that was probably the better choice anyway.

Annsan - welcome. Yes, weight loss IS slow but it goes on ever so fast. But it DOES come off

Yesterday I put Vince's work clothes in the wash to rinse them out and totally forgot to put them in the dryer. We're going to work outside some today. Weather.com says that we shouldn't get rain until around 2 so hopefully, we can get some riverrock done.

I wanted to make these chocolate cookies for Denise, but I didn't realize how small the recipe was so I may have to go to the store later to get more sour cream. Update: went before we started the riverrock while I still wasn't all that dirty.

Viv - I do try to log my food every day, but I admit that sometimes I have to skim the posts. I think we all do at times.

grandmagege - sounds like a lovely trip you have planned. I'd want to be thinner, too. It'll probably be warm which means bathing suits and I don't want to be caught dead unless I looked halfway decent so I totally get where you're coming from

Heather - great NSV and wow on the TIGHT top

sunshine - thanks for sharing the pic. You look great! Can't get over how that rock is in the middle

DeeDee - sounds like your SIL was a bit jealous of the weight you lost

fizzfizz - welcome, you're not too young. So sorry to hear about your knee.

Liz - dear, I'm every so sorry to hear about ss's prognosis. But it is good that you are looking at the positive (the radiation helped)

jb - thanks for telling me that you can steam the beet greens. Unfortunately, this past Sat. I had to throw them out, didn't really have time to cut them up. But I'm going to steam them next time I get some

Joyce - I agree with Katla, one week my weight will be up, the next it'll be much lower. I'm sure that's what's happening to you. Don't get disgusted, sometimes it just takes our bodies a while to catch up with what's happening. Another thing I found out, I can weigh myself and then go to the bathroom and weigh myself again, and I'll weigh less.

Katla - you're so right, only failures give up. Like they say, winners never lose and losers never win. You know, there's something to be said for Oriental Medicine. I've taken a tai chi class, and some of the stories of things people have overcome. Just wish it was at a time when I could make it, I do miss it. Glad you had a good time at the class

Pat - I like what you said to Joyce "you don't get exercise points for beating yourself up"

thin***** - welcome. It's IS so nice being on a thread with women who understand you. I love it here and I know you will too

Gail - I'm available to invite to dinner....just sayin'.....:)

Got up this morning. Didn't do any "formal" exercise but it wasn't raining IN THE MORNING so Vince and I put down some more of the river rock. I totally forgot to put his work clothes in the dryer yeasterday, so we had to wait for them to dry some. Guess we started work around 10:30 and stopped around 3:30 when it started raining. Actually, for a while there I was sweating like a pig, the cool rain felt pretty good. The "screen" Vince made to get the river dirt out works quite well. Not toally, but no where near what we had before. Then came in and made these fudge cookies. I'll send some to Denise, give some to Jessica and Kris, and the rest I'll have in case the guys doing the pergola need something. If not, then Vince can have them. Tomorrow I'll do yoga and then take the extreme pump class. Tomorrow night is mahjongg.
