Quest's new line of Keto frozen meals. I dunno, $7.49 for a sausage egg and cheese biscuit? Seems a bit out there.

Aldi breaks out their line of German food products for October every year. Schnitzels, pretzels, wine, sausages, etc. Oh well, maybe next year. I'm not missing anything.2

Yeah that's just nuts!shoeoptional wrote: »Aldi breaks out their line of German food products for October every year. Schnitzels, pretzels, wine, sausages, etc. Oh well, maybe next year. I'm not missing anything.
Ok maybe I should stop by Aldi, lol.1 -
Tried the Nitro Crunch Birthday Cake bar & it tasted more like Birthday Cake than The Combat Crunch & Robert Irvine bars, but I prefer the latter since those bars have denser textures & more layers.1

That's impossible, I just contacted Halo Top and they said they don't have ambassadors, he HAS to be part of the company somehow o///o

This is what I ended up getting at Safeway today, it was on sale for $3.50 (maybe that's not a good sale who knows) but they also had a regular chocolate and lemon. I'd be interested to try the lemon and I did find this satisfying for 330 calories, although it did (as my dad puts it) have a "weird taste" neither of us liked; I think it could have been the coconut flour in the crust. Not something I'll get again anytime soon unless maybe $1.50 each, but it's worth trying it you like chocolate mint ganache, which is pretty much what the inside reminded me of! However, I very much respect the stated serving size being of 85 grams matching the actual weight of 84.7 grams! Love it when companies somehow get this close to complete accuracy!
Also, pumpkin spice oh yeah one bar review is up (ranked number 9), I'm kind of disappointed to be honest. Hoping for someone here to try it too so I have more to go off of, I've been spending way too much on food lately I need more justification before I go out! xD

I love the Hail Merry tarts. They make minis that are 90 calories each, too. The almond butter-filled one is my favorite out of all of the big ones.
Maybe Josh works for a major corporation that deals with different food brands. Hasn't he posted about numerous food products that are soon to be released?1 -
GNC always carries Quest bars, buy 3, get 1 free. It's like a normal, everyday thing.
Have you tried GNC's advanced total lean bars? I tried each flavor and honestly like them even more than quest, especially the apple pie! The peanut butter banana reminds me of a banana Laffy taffy so is probably my least favorite but is still good and my mother is obsessed with it haha :xNoreenmarie1234 wrote: »
Literally the worst use of my money, $15 for 4 donuts plus $9 shipping so about $6 per donut. I ordered the purple ube with toasted coconut because I love the taste of taro products and these were healthy protein donuts so I was weak and I'm never doing it again but the donut was sososososo satisfying. It's from The Dough Bar if anyone wants to check them out, they shipped across the country so perhaps they're slightly more reasonably if you live closer o:
HAHA wow only 150 cals per doughnut? I have never heard of them, how did you find out about them? I looked on their site and I want to try their krispy bars too. I wish they weren't so expensive.
150 per donut plus 29 per tub of icing for my flavor, not bad at all especially with 11 grams of protein! Facebook pulled up one of their posts about a giveaway (which I didn't win of course haha) as an advertisement based upon my history (I actually discover a lot of brand through Facebook surprisingly) but I've been following them and finally splurged! I don't think they're selling the Krispy bars yet, I think those are on kickstarter for the time being, they get a lot of orders and apparently go through inventory really quickly. They only ship out orders on Monday so I was pretty impatient once I found this out after placing an order on Tuesday haha o: follow their Facebook, you may eventually win a case who knows!
Stop yourself. I LOVE BANANA LAFFY TAFFY! *offtoGNC*0 -

Finally tried these. I LOVED THEM! They really had the birthday cake flavor which I dont think the rob irvine one really has. And I hate the lemony flavor other bars have. @kellyjellybellyjelly I agree it had a more bday cake flavor. I actually preferred these bars because I don't really like the "middle" of the combat crunch bars. I liked the texture of these bars even though one bar wasn't really as satisfying as other bars that are chewier/more layers.3 -
I tried these in sea salt, ranch, and honey roasted so far....
Sea salt: 7/10 really really good! Kind of plain and just tasted like chick pea so I topped my salad with them and they were a really nice addition
Ranch: 9/10 MY FAVORITE!! Really nice ranch taste. I ate these one on their own they were so good. My hands got the "ranch hands" that you get when you eat cool ranch doritos and have to lick off your hands. LOL kinda weird to add this in, but they reminded me of back in the day.
Honey roasted: 7/10 Pretty good, but not my favorite of the bunch. They would probably be good in some type of trail mix. They had a really nice sweet honey taste. I think with the rest of them I will make a trail mix or maybe add as a topping to butternut or pumpkin soup they would be AMAZING on soup
The only thing I didn't like is that they are so dry so you can't eat many at a time without drinking. But this is also a plus because I was satisfied on the serving size and didn't really want to eat more. I would definitely buy these again. They would make amazing soup toppers.3 -
For those who make the protein cakes with the Kodiak mixes: I substituted pumpkin puree for the unsweetened applesauce this morning. Tasted just as good, 5 less calories, 5g less sugar (which is a big deal for me). I think I'll be using pumpkin from now on...
Do you have a recipe for these protein cakes? sounds like something I def need to try!
Sure, though this is cribbed from the Lil' Buff Bakery cake recipe, which are awesome in their own right:
60 g Kodiak Flapjack Mix of your choice
75 g Unsweetened applesauce or pumpkin puree
3 T egg whites
2 T almond milk (I use unsweetened)
Mix well and either microwave for 2:40 or bake in a rice cooker (no kidding). People make frostings out of yogurt and cream cheese and other stuff, but I just pour a slightly-watered-down tablespoon of All Fruit over the cake for a topping. Here's the general breakdown:
Calories 307
Total Fat 5 g
Saturated Fat 1 g
Monounsaturated Fat 0 g
Polyunsaturated Fat 0 g
Trans Fat 0 g
Cholesterol 0 mg 0 %
Sodium 565 mg

Just tried the pumpkin flavored fit joy and for the first time I'm very very disappointed and didn't enjoy it at all. Very waxy, perfumey candle taste. Artificial tasting and too heavy on the spice. Didn't taste like pumpkin, only a candle jar2
-
^^^NOPE. Too many calories for too little taste.
^^^^yes, yes a thousand times yes! Zero nutrition but absolutely worth the 150 calories! Excellent with my coffee in the morning.
(I just discovered Balance Bars-sorry if I'm being a total newb here)
^^^^Sadly disappointed. So bland.
^^^^ I love Tasty Bite stuff and am pretty okay with Thai food. I hadn't seen this one before so I thought I would try it. Tasted like preservatives, smell was awful, too salty. The veggies in it were crunchy and fresh.

I love Wegmans, I really do. I've been looking several years now for this pumpkin kefir! Also been looking and failing trying to find these pumpkin donut flavor Laffy taffys! Wegmans has them out for you to choose individual flavors rather than a pack so I was very selective I tried one in the car home and love it! So much better than that fit joy bar! Not as nutritious, sure, but so perfect.Noreenmarie1234 wrote: »Just got all of these reviews to come

I tried the chocolate smart cake. It was actually delicious but I am not interested in spending $5 for two small pieces of cake. They were the size of a small muffin and really light. Tasted better than I thought. I added some pb2 on one as well3 -
Tried the cinnamon tonight. WOW SOOOOOO GOOD!!! They had nice sugar topping that I didn't expect. I warmed one up and had the other regular. It was so soft and light, like a coffee cake but SUPER light. I liked the cold one better because once warmed up it felt super airy and even lighter. It felt a bit denser when cold. I mean I had low expectations because of the calorie count, but I was pretty happy with how good they were for those calories. I mean obviously not as good as a little debbie coffee cake, but a good treat. They would be really good for breakfast.
I would buy these a lot if they weren't so expensive. @hgycta I came across them on amazon actually! Based on my searches below I saw "you might like these" and it was their smart buns and I was curious so went to the website and saw all of these.
I cant wait to try the other flavors and the buns. Only 73 calories for a whole bun?! And the reviews I read were all fantastic.

What do the Smart Cakes use for sweetner?1

They actually look very similar to Simply Scrumptous' cinnamon coffee cakes which I usually get and is sooo sweet and satisfying! I'm curious now how they compare, I might have to splurge eventually but right now I'm trying to take it easy since I bought all those protein doughnuts and goods from wegmans, and those smart cakes are certainly not cheap! Although, they do look a little more reasonable on their website (http://smart-baking.com/) since you aren't forced into buying so many at once. I noticed they used erythritol, which I seem to be a glutton for (and Simply Scrumptous uses that, really, they seem so so so similar). However, Simply Scrumptous claims a low calorie count too, but I always notice when I keep my diet the same and eat one of theirs (even adding calories to account for larger portions) I seem to gain weight, not sure why...
Also, even though I said I wasn't going to I picked up Kodiak's unleashed granola. Giant had it on sale for $1.25 (but didn't have the chocolate pumpkin cakes go figure) so I decided to go for it.
I used more milk than it suggested (2/3 cup instead of 1/2 cup), and used silk's unsweetened almond then warmed it up for about 45 seconds and found this really enhanced the flavor since the milk absorbed some of its flavors and sweetness.
I'm very, very impressed actually!!! A lot of depth and just sweet enough to be satisfying without over doing it. As much as I said I don't do granola or oatmeal, I'll probably be getting this again. Loved it.

The Halo Top store locator says it's at my local Kroger. I've never seen it, but according to Instagram, it was the first chain to roll out the new flavors. I'll check on Tuesday4

I can actually second that I've seen some posts (on Facebook) about people finding it in stores already. This being said, wegmans didn't have it when I went although they did have a full inventory of every other flavor.
Also, pumpkin spice kefir is actually my favorite kind so far! Highly recommend it!0 -
Just received a free prototype of Lil Buff Bakery's new pumpkin cake mix they should be releasing soon! Only thing is, while the recipe card says to mix it with applesauce the pack itself says to use pumpkin purée, which I don't have. Dx I want to pick some up but I'm starting not to trust myself in grocery stores haha!1 -
Ohhh @hgycta I have seen good reviews about that new mix!! Also I love erythritol
as a sweetener. I am picky about my sweeteners because there are some I just cant stand. (suclarose, etc) Hmm have you ever weighed the simply scrumptious? I've ordered from them before but never ate them consistently to see if I actually believed their counts. I believed them for these cakes though they were very light and airy.
Not new, but never tried before...
Really good. I loved them. I am a sucker for chocolate/yogurt/whitechoc covered pretzels so these were delicious. The pumpkin flavor complemented the pretzel flavor nicely.0 -
Finally found the new Power Bar protein bars at Giant today! I never would have went to look if it hadn't been for the damn self checkout for spitting out a coupon. Those enablers. I bought the Clean Raspberry & Cookie Dough flavors.
I also found the Cookie Dough @hgycta but it was so nasty! I bought the regular Cookie Dough flavor & found it tasted primarily of cream cheese. The Just Cookie Dough from Target was so much better.2
