I wish I were as skillful at tuning out noises as some of you guys in this thread. I'd like to get back into reading since I haven't done that since the Harry Potter series, but it's very rare that I can sit in a quiet room for hours at a time without anyone bothering me or watching TV/playing video games. I feel like I need to leave the house just to get some reading done, but I have no idea where I'd go. Barnes & Noble took out their couch.

The libraries have great furniture...check them out in your area and see if you can find a cozy chair to sit and read. ;) Why did they remove the couch?

oops...looks like it's been brought up. I've a page or two behind today. lol

Barnes & Noble probably took out their couch because people will come in and read but not buy anything. Strangely enough, it never occured to me to read at the library. I'll give it a try. Been itching to read the Dexter books for starters. Thanks for the suggestions. ;)

Confession: I sit in Barnes & Noble to read and never buy anything, cause it's closer to home than the library and has more books.

I eat very healthy most of the time. But sometimes i cant help myself and eat a whole bag of lays chips. The biggest one. And after eating it i feel really bad and i go and force myself into puking. Same goes with fries.
And yet i am not a bulimic. This only happens once a month maybe. The puking that is. The rest of the times i just accept what i just did and keep it down.

Not judging, but I think you should get some help for this if you can. I started out purging maybe once a month, sort of randomly, sometimes not even after binging. I reassured myself that I wasn't bulimic and it was just a quirk.

And then a year later I was trying to remember the last time I had eaten a meal and kept it down, and I couldn't. There were months and months when I purged every bite I ate. And it was so, so miserable. I couldn't stand the feeling of keeping food in my stomach, so I would avoid eating for as long as I could, and then as soon as I had a bite of anything I ate more because I knew I'd have to throw up anyway.

I thought it would never happen, that I didn't have a problem because it happened so occasionally, but it can get away from you really quickly, and once it's ingrained as a habit it's almost impossible to stop. It interferes with every aspect of your life, and it gets so exhausting. Even if you can hide it, even if no one knows, it's still awful.

Anyway, sorry for the long rant. I'm not saying it will necessary escalate for you, but I think you should try to stop now in case it does. The longer you let it go on, the harder it will be to stop when you eventually need to. Good luck!! Be strong :)

I bought a can of frosting that I keep in the fridge and every night I weigh out one serving and eat it off the spoon. I'm allergic to wheat. I did find gluten free cupcakes at Trader Joe's last week and managed to only eat one per day. I get a blood transfusion tomorrow so it's my scheduled binge day and I found out our local gourmet cupcakery makes gluten free cupcakes on Mondays. Score!

I'm also growing weary of having to keep track of everything I eat.

Going on a sugar binge soon and I don't even care. I've had a horrible headache all day.

I ate a white chocolate easter egg with gummy sweets today, it tasted amazing but I felt guilty straight away afterwards. It was probably about 500 calories that I didn't have left to eat. It's very rare I cheat but it shows I still have no control over food if it's placed in front of me.

Despite having some success recently I went mad over the weekend and the scale this morning is showing my last November weight. While a huge amount of it is water weight, I'm starting to look at my weight loss as a big heavy spring that I work my *kitten* off to push down, while it resists all the way, and then as soon as I slip, it rebounds up and smacks me in the face.

I very often chose to go hungry during the day so I know I'll have enough calories to eat at night so I dont have to deal with that :/

My parents are antagonistic and don't understand how dieting works. I'll eat a few small things throughout the day, and when I ask my mom when dinner will be ready, she tells me I've been eating all day and will try to make me feel bad for being hungry. To top it all off, I can't move out because you need a good paying job in this day and age just to afford living by yourself. Used to be you graduated high school and could immediately afford your own place. Baby boomers had to go and ruin everything.

I like to buy junk food for other people so I can watch them eat it and satisfy my own cravings without experiencing any of the side effects myself. It's like food porn haha

I took down the Christmas tree!

    :p About time!

Confession: My wife and I high-fived for getting all the Christmas decorations down the weekend after New Year's. Not away, mind you, just down to our finished basement where they're cluttering up the TV area and bar.

On my walk today, I saw a house with its Christmas decorations still up, plus a skeleton from Halloween for good measure, so don't feel too bad.

No one could see ours. Heck, we barely saw it. It was in a room we don't use much.

Confession 1: I don't eat healthy! There I said it. I have a friend who dropped 100 pounds last year and I'm very proud of him. I assumed he was eating healthy and exercising. Nope. He confided in me that he still eats like *kitten*, but just...less of it. I was so amazed that one could do this. I had always thought to lose weight it was salads and bland baked chicken and brussles sprouts for life, but then I decided I could try to lose weight if I could do it that way. I'd tried the healthy eating approach before and always fell off the wagon. Now I still eat my favorite foods, but in small portions and drink water instead of calorie-costing drinks. I've lost eight in the month or so I've been on this track. It's awesome.

Confession 2: Because of confession number one I get a little irritated when I see or hear people saying that since they've started eating healthy the foods we used to eat together (and now only I eat) make them sick and that they think they are disgusting. I mean, your opinion is your own, feel what you like about whatever, but don't talk down to me just because you've "transcended" the things I still love. You used to eat them too, so get off that high horse. XD

Confession 3: I really really miss beer...I wish I saved up more calories for my nightly beer. My husband home-brews so we always have such good beer on tap at home, but I rarely get to drink it without cheating. ='(

This happened to me in February. One overage and I was set back 2 months. It's gone now but took work. It's tough when you only lose a couple pounds a month, maximum because there isn't much wiggle room.

Dude, are you serious? I think the people who could afford to live on their own after high school still worked their butts off. My parents are boomers... my dad is from a dead end Midwest town, my mom moved to the US when she was 18... they worked really hard, joined the military, got married young, worked full-time to put themselves through college while raising a toddler, etc. I'd never say they had it easy. They just did what needed to be done.

Confession: I'm a millennial, and I find it really, really hard to identify with other millenials.

Oh, and what I came here to confess: I'm planning my whole diary for this week out, so I can counteract my pizza binge from Friday and still manage to do St. Patrick's Day. There's like a 5% chance I'll stick to it, but if I do, I'm going to be mighty proud of myself.

sigh...When I found that I couldn't eat peanut butter in moderation, and had to get it out of my apartment ASAP, I not only threw it away-I drowned the jar in water first so I wouldn't be tempted...

    I can't believe I shared that.

I have done that too with other foods. I spayed insect instead of water. Lol

I paid no attention to the pic for the longest time and for some reason thought it was a sheep. I only noticed it was a dog when I was about to write a post asking why they had a sheep for an avatar.
