I lost my flipping mind when I came home today and nothing I had asked my boys to do had been done. When I said I was going to do it, but the price for my labor would be that the cable modem came to work with me tomorrow, they moved themselves right along and got it all done in half an hour.
They will not play all day on my dime and have me do the chores when I come home. I didn't yell and make a scene, which I felt like doing, I just told them how it would be.

I like those pictures of chore lists that parents post, and say "when these chores are done, text me photos and I will send you today's internet password." Smart parenting right there.

My husband would be no end of aggravated if he had to change the password on his phone every day. It's easier for me to take the modem with me. It weighs less than 2 pounds.

So for some reason, the cold I had last week has returned. :( It had gone for the weekend and came back by Monday night. So I didn't go swimming Tuesday in the hope that it would go again, but by the evening I couldn't breathe through my nose at all. Going to find myself some decongestant at lunch, it just seems to be my nose, I don't feel like poop, I just can't breathe (through my nose).

My mother never grounded us because she viewed it as punishing herself.

    Bahahaha. True.

If you can find some echinacea tea and drink as hot as you can stand it, it will boost your immune system and the steam will help "unstuff" your nose.

I'm kind of like this. I keep telling hubby, "if we ground him, we're grounding ourselves. What do we have planned before we issue this punishment?" LOL

Today's confession: I have an appointment with a therapist today. I am *kitten* dreading it, I'm wound up so tight and constantly grinding/clenching my teeth without me noticing.
Part of me is also very excited to try and work through this and quite frankly to get another opinion, I'm starting to think my original diagnosis is wrong.

    How did it go?

This! I hope it helped you.

It went well! She can't diagnose me so I am going to a Dr on Saturday to go back on meds and discuss how to go about getting another opinion for my original diagnosis. As for therapy, I go back on Tuesday. She said she can see a road map currently and hopefully can help me at least make a dent in the emotional turmoil I'm dealing with, she also left a note at the front desk in the lobby that when I go in I can pay what I can afford since I am actually trying and not covered by benefits.

This sounds like a great therapist. Someone who really wants to help you. I have my fingers crossed she can get you back on track where you want and need to be emotionally. How did the doctors visit go? (or maybe I'll see that as I read down I am a bit behind).

So guess who put off getting meds and is sincerely regretting it, we're heading to the states tomorrow for the wedding. My anxiety is a ridiculous high and catastrophic thoughts are running over and over again in my head, add on top of the fact that I am wearing my singlet to workouts now to get the feel of them which hypothetically is fine. Guess who had a meltdown over how she looked and how much my confidence is a freaking roller coaster just like my anxiety and depression. Ugh. Life. BUT I have an appointment with the therapist today.

NOBODY looks good in a singlet! NOBODY! It is not you, it's the singlet. I swear. Vix, trust me. Breathe. You got this.

This is true I have volunteered at High School wrestling tournaments and not even fit young guys look good in singlets. Whose idea we're those anyway?! Fire them!!!

Have you ever seen bib bike shorts? NASTY! I don't like those tank tops that are called wife beaters either (and what human being came up with that name??). And yes, singlets are NASTY.

You look amazing. I have no doubt about that. You'll be ok. Deep breath.

Where are you going to be?

I'm wishing I had taken Monday and/or Wednesday off next week, but I'm saving my vacation time for the end of July. Oregon Coast, here I come!

Same here. I probably will spend more time watching Netflix than dealing with people because of the holiday.
