On the way to work in the fast lane minding traffic when a car wizzed up to the bumper of the car in the middle lane and turns into my lane so that I had to hit the break to avoid hitting him.

I was thinking evil thoughts when he did the same thing to a black SUV whell the police lights went on. Hurray for unmarked police cars.

Finally, there was an officer around when you wished for one!

It's been a crazy weekend for us. Father's Day is closing and I am getting ready to head for bed. Just need to finish closing my diary. Not sure how accurate it will be.

Mind you I have a led foot. I wonder how fast he was going during this

If I had a salt lick I would lick it. That is how much I am craving salt right now.

I only ate 900 the previous two days cause I wasn't hungry much which was strange. I find that when it's extremely hot I don't have much of an appetite.

    900 a day? Or 900 total 450 a day?

Maybe around 800-900 a day. I got my appetite back yesterday so ate normally.

I guess the good thing about getting to work at 3:00 a.m. is that I get to leave at 11:00 a.m. But it's currently 7:00 and I'm already exhausted. A nap is definitely in my future.

As a detective why did you need to go in so early? I thought you did more office work?

Surveillance. Trying to track down someone. Normally I can just internet stalk them, but it wasn’t working with this one.

Oooh. You have both the most exciting job and the most boring. Did you catch him?

Found him, but haven’t “caught him” yet.

Do you find that a lot of the people you have to "stalk" don't have social media profiles/low media presence due to their criminal activities or use fake aliases on social media platforms?

    No. Quite the opposite.

It seems like social media profiles/low media presence is more linked to age. The older you are, the less presence you have.

Confession: I did NOT go off the rails for Father's Day. I ate a hair over my small deficit, but everything logged and accounted for.

Also Confession: I go to Santa Monica with Hubby a week from now and there is an In N Out Double Double with Fries and Chocolate Shake with my name on it.

    I did. :#

Back to logging and tracking today.

I will bring balance to the world by confessing I cannot stand pizza (or anything tomato based)!

I could (and do) eat chocolate all day long. I'm going to have to curb that as I start breastfeeding less.

My favorite pizzas have nothing tomato based on them.

I also eat chocolate all day long. :D

I also love a good chicken bacon alfredo pizza!

Everybody in my family orders their own pizza. I try to eat half and save half for the next day. I usually can.

QFT!! Mine is unusual, so no one else in the family eats it. The rest usually get some form of pepperoni. I tend to go for the thin crust, sometimes the hand tossed. Deep dish is too much bread for me. I get pizza for the toppings. Better stop now or I will be ordering pizza for dinner instead of cooking my mahi.

I tried a Chicago Deep Dish like pizza that I bought at Aldis & it tasted amazing, but I found it was definitely way too much bread. I'm not much of a bread eater to begin with. I'm more of a cheese fanatic as far as pizzas go & usually pick the cheese off first & eat it(I know I'm a weirdo).

I usually can fit a frozen pizza into my calories if it's 900-1000 calories & I eat lightly for the rest of the day, but I don't order takeout pizza since I'm sure I'd want to demolish the whole thing at once. Once I get my moderation back in check I'll order a pizza.

Frozen pizza is so gross! Not to mention a sin against my people :p

My son loves watching shows about snakes, reptiles, and wildlife on the NatGeoWIld channel.
My confession is that every time they say "anaconda", I sing that part of "Baby Got Back" in my head.
    Every. Single. Time.

This made me giggle more than it should have!

Pizza: I am not picky. I don't love frozen pizza, but won't turn it down (I married an Italian, I understand and accept this abomination). I prefer old-standard pizza with a thick dough, light red sauce, lotsa cheese and all sorts of toppings.

We do DIY a fair amount and use Udi's GF crust (hubby and daughter are celiac so GF always at home). It's about 800 calories for how I make it, but I get to eat the WHOLE THING. It's passable for sure.

I drove down to visit my daughter this past weekend. She is in the military and possibly deploying soon...

We went to an irish pub for dinner Friday night. Her husband was ordering drinks for me. I had 2 Irish wakes and woke up Saturday with a shamrock tattoo... no joke.

    Slainte!

My Step-Mom had thyroid cancer. She has a bleeding disorder and was not going to consent to surgery. I talked with her and convinced her to have the surgery and it turned out well. Three months later she was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer which didn't show when they were looking for remnants of the thyroid cancer. Chemo therapy is not working and now she has been given a 2 month life expectancy.

I confess that I'm feeling guilty now that I talked her into the surgery, which has exchanged a relatively quick and painless ending for a likely painful and prolonged end of life. I saw her this weekend with horrible jaundice and arms like sticks. I feel awful in so many ways...

You made the best decision with the information that you had at the time. Please don't feel guilty for what you did not know. I am sure that your SM does not hold you responsible for a few extra, albeit painful days.

I will probably have a color touch up -- it is a little Green Bay Packer-ish. Too much yellow.

My daughter has a matching one, so that makes me happy :D:D:D

    I'll take a pic when I get home :p

    Good job!
I didn't go off the rails either! I was probably a little over maintenance. Hard to tell though because MFP wasn't syncing with Fitbit yesterday and we had takeout so it was all estimates anyway.

    Have fun in Santa Monica!

We don judge MFP members here. We do occasionally judge our coirkers. Especially the one I have who leaves dishes on the bathroom. :)

I am sorry and I hope that she can at least be comfortable. I would love to be able to say I think there are last ditch treatments that might work, but we aren't very successful with liver cancer. (My primary job is working with cancer docs.)

@Fvaisey I think it's natural to put our most hopeful advice forward. It's easy to say forgive yourself, but I know it's a lot harder to do.
