She may not be a gourmet chef but she doesn't use the smoke detector as a timer when she cooks.
She understands that problems may come in sets of three but those sets are few and far between not sweating the small stuff and not stressing about the not so small stuff. It'll be OK.
She understands I work odd and long hours up front so that I can take three or four day weekends throughout the year and most of November and December off. Occasionally, she'll surprise me with a cup of coffee or a shrimp po boy and encourage me to take a break.
Occasionally fusses at me when I drop my clothes into the sorted piles laying around the laundry room on laundry day because I always put the wrong clothes in the wrong pile. I don't know how to properly separate the laundry because WTF, if it's white it goes in one pile and if it's not it don't, but she knows I try.
On a nice summer evening, after I've spend a long day working and she 'had to get away for some time to herself', we get ourselves cleaned up. She puts on a pair of nice, low cut, tight, jeans. Not the kind that makes her all stiff and walk weird, but just tight enough that it shows off what her mamma gave her yet is comfortable for her. She tosses on a short sleeve cowgirl shirt, gotta be short sleeve because I'm not fond of sleeveless, a redish plaid color, that only buttons up just north of her breastisses so a bit of cleavage shows. It could be one of them that is short and ties at the bottom but doesn't have to be. She tosses on her cowgirl boots and we go toss some bales of hay into the bed of the pickup truck and head off to a drive-in movie. On the way, with the windows down and the wind blowing through her hair, she takes off her boots and tosses her feet up on the dash to show me the pedi she got while she was out. She's got cute little piggies. When we get to the drive-in I make a love seat out the the square bales while she gets us drinks and candy from concessions. It doesn't matter what is playing because we just snuggle through the movies in our makeshift couch. I'm not reveling the rest of the evening because that's between her and I.5 -
