For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and work out for 80 minutes. No overindulging in any single food.
For today, going to roll the mindful workout into this morning. Focus on the activity.
Good day yesterday. Under calorie goal, worked out for 45 minutes. Didn't over indulge.
Did my morning workout without distractions, added 5 minutes to my routine, could tell a difference. Don't think this will be an everyday thing. Even without the distractions, my mind wandered making it hard to focus.
For today, I will work out this morning for 40 minutes and walk for 45 later in the day.
For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and won't indulge in any single food.
For today, I will spend time getting organized so I can hit the ground running Monday morning.0 -

For all of you Christian prayer warriors would you please pray for our minister's 1 year old son as he had a seizure earlier this morning. As he was being transported by ambulance to the closest hospital he became unresponsive at one point.
I would appreciate all of your prayers. Thanks0 -

Hi, this is my first time here; I was drawn in by the Just for Today, thinking that it was 12 step related lol and it is the same principle, so I think I'll stay a while!
Just for today I will:
Meditate
Do one service activity
Stay within my calorie count
Take a 30 min walk
And plan for tomorrow's food

Been MIA most of the week. Feeling demotivated, unwell from irritating cold, headache from caffeine withdrawal and have allowed all of that to get to me and have binge eaten my way through most of the week.
Really struggling with motivation.
So I am going to make just one small commitment for tomorrow to begin the road forward again... towards health and renewing my commitment to achieving my goal.
So Monday's goal is:
- choose to avoid binge/comfort eating even if I feel unwell/headachy/grumpy. It doesn't make me feel any better and quite frankly putting all that junk into my body isn't going to help me get well!0 -

1. Pre-plan menus I did this before I went to bed lol; stick to plan
2. 30 mins Tai Chi; 30 mins Strength; 60+ mins Cardio; 10,000+ steps
3. Relax and enjoy whatever the day brings. it brought showers. We walked along the prom between showers and browsed in the shops during them. The BBC were filming for local TV and radio. It cleared up after dinner and I went for a walk.
My world is being gently washed this morning lol. Perhaps I will need later I didn't need sunglasses lol
JFT 21/07
Off to visit Derry City today. So,
1. Make sensible choices in restaurant for lunch.
2. 10,000+ steps.
3. Live, laugh, have fun. I'm on holiday, after all!

Walk on the treadmill for 40 min.
Stay under calorie limit.
No late night snacking.0 -
Such a nice surprised feeling to see that I actually DID the things on my list! I'm not really in the habit yet of writing down goals like this, and then being accountable for them. I know that checking in here, and knowing that I made this commitment, will become more automatic after a few weeks...in the meantime,
just for today...
I will do something kind for my body
I will stay at my calorie limit
I will do one thing good for my spirit
I'll use the supports at hand
And I will do 15 min of exercise
And...I will do something of service for someone else,

@TerriRichardson112 - thanks!! Things are going really well. We are cleaning out dads house that he lived in for 60 years. Big job to say the least.
I am keeping busy and staying within my calorie goal.
When is your daughters wedding? I know you are crazy busy too. But looks like you are sticking to your goals really well.0 -

Such honorable goals. I need to think more along those lines too.
I guess right now my goal for others is to finish cleaning out my dads house that he was in for 60 years. The last 4 months have been consumed with caring for dad before his passing in July.
I will get there eventually.
Good luck with goals.0 -
Need the accountability!

Understand about the cravings. I am at maintenance but have not been satisfied with what I am eating. Right now I am craving sweets and just trying to conquer that craving. Any helpful suggestions?0 -

For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and won't indulge in any single food.

Worked out for 83 minutes including a 2.5 mile walk at for me, a new fast pace of 16:48 a mile.
Was on track the majority of the day, fell off the wagon after dinner. 605 over my calorie goal.
Walked into the office this morning with a solid to - do list and a head start on several projects.
For today I will work out for 45 minutes.
For today I will stay under my calorie goal and won't over indulge in any single food (mean it this time.)
For today I will remind myself of the reasons I want to be healthy and why I'm in this for the long haul.
