    Happy Saturday everyone.
Raining here so I guess no walk today
    JFT
    1. Stationary bike 60 min
    2. Stay within calorie goal
    3. Drink 10 glasses of water
    4. Peaceful thoughts

Did you know that there are indoor walking videos on YouTube? I find them invaluable in wet weather. Just do a search for walking and loads come up.

I WILL work out for 80 minutes. Will walk and will do my workout routine mindfully, no TV or music
I will listen to a health and wellness podcast on my walk, with an open mind
I will reinforce my reasons for becoming healthier, morning and afternoon
I will stay under my net calorie goal for the day

    Good day yesterday.

Worked out for 89 minutes including a 2.8 mile walk at 16:44 a mile. Did afternoon workout mindfully with no tv or music, focusing on the activity
Listened to a Extreme Health Radio podcast on my walk. The general message of mind/body gets through but not sure I'm ready for their level of "outside the box"
Reinforced the reasons for being healthier, morning and afternoon
Was 25% under my net calorie goal for the day

    For today:

I will work out for 80 minutes. Will enjoy a morning walk with my lovely bride
I will say out loud the reasons I'm progressing on this health journey both morning and afternoon
I will stay under my net calorie goal for the day moving to a three day streak
I will spend time getting myself organized so I can hit the ground running Monday morning

    Just for today,

I give myself permission to not like my adult son. I will love him for who he is, and not who I want him to be.
These are difficult for me today.

    JFT
    1. Walk for 30 min
    2. Stay with calorie goal
    3. Drink 10 glasses of water
    4. Staying away from sugar
continuing with my much more restrictive diet in an attempt to break this plateau. The first few days were the hardest. Hoping this will pay off soon.

68myra, as you know grown children are exceptionally hard to parent. I know we have to stand back and let them make there own mistakes. Praying that you find peace.

I'm either coming down with a bug or getting whammied by allergies so mine are simple today, extra liquids, more fruit and veggies, short walk

Today I reset my weight. Almost Sept 1st. Time to get serious. Fall is a good time to get really serious.
The holidays will be coming up, but if I can continue, and stay serious until Christmas -- and beyond -- I know how much better I will feel!

I am so far behind reading all the encouraging posts, and the ones you have really committed to taking this one day at a time. Now I am committed again also! And thank you to the ones who have kept this thread going!

    So just for today
    1. drink lots of water
    2. Watch my sugar - keep sugar as low as possible
    3. watch my carb count
    4. Be positive. Do not let past failings keep me on this path.

Hi all! I want to give this idea a try! So since I usually check MFP late in the evening, I will tweak this a little so it works for me. I will do "just for tomorrow" instead.

    Just for tomorrow (9/1):
    - I will drink 8 cups of water

    Baby steps :)

I love this concept!!! I have a pretty bad binge cycle...its gotten me to the heaviest I've ever been. And I feel so overwhelmed with the idea that I NEED to lose about 170 lbs or so...and that's so daunting to even type...let alone admit out loud :'( but today is a new day...a new month actually!! And I really want to do this! Maybe it will help me to focus...and not get scared of the long road ahead of me! Please add me, if you'd like....I need all the help and encouragement I can get!! And I'll try to return the favor of course!

I'm pretty sure it's allergies not a cold, which still means extra liquids, but still some sort of exercise this evening.

    Good day yesterday.

Under my net calorie goal, four days in a row.
Reinforced my wellness mantra both on the way to work and the way home.
Did not work out. I have a pattern of not working out at all if I don't do it in the morning.
Stressful day but kept it well under control

    For today:

I will stay under my net calorie goal moving to five days in a row.
Reinforce my wellness mantra both morning and afternoon
I will work out for 80 minutes today. Going for a walk in 25 minutes.
I will not over indulge in any single food.

    Yesterday
I did SO good all day yesterday, until in the evening. Hubby wanted popcorn, and that was OK, except it got me started grazing all nite. I had bought little candy corns, and kept grabbing a handful. at a time - mindless eating.
So today, I know I need to concentrate more on my nighttime snacking.

    SO Just for today.
    1. drink water when I want to snack - and wait 10 minutes!

September is a new month -- and we have 2 months to concentrate before the holidays hit! You can do this -- one day at a time!!!

    2. Attend Patchwork Group this morning

Terri - are you a quilter? Just wondering if this is what your Patchwork group is. I love to quilt and sew. Mostly in the evenings -- now if I can just keep doing this instead of grabbing snacks in between sewing :)
