I have been so slack the last few weeks. I haven't logged, I haven't been to work out as much, nada, zilch, zero. Too many guests keep coming and I get caught up in the fun that I forget to log and stay up too late to make it for workouts. I MUST TAKE CONTROL. I can do this. I know I can. Now, I am off to find some motivational signs and post them everywhere around the apartment to my phone to my work space etc. Going to get out in the amazing NYC spring weather and tackle my bad habits.... and a couple incidents where, out of nowhere(!!!) chocolate chip cookies attacked me!!
Btw, it's a lovely warm spring day in NYC and I just have to say- my favorite NSV is being able to wear a skirt without stockings and NOT having your thighs run together and give you a painful rash. I used to use a non-friction gold bond stick to put on my thighs, but they don't rub so much anymore!! Yay!!!
Those silly cookies! I hope they didn't attack too much That painful rash...that's me.0 -
Feeling awesome from this morning's workout!
Deadlift: 5x5 ~135#: woohoo! I'm coming back!!!
Love the feeling I get from lifting.
Then when I get home, I just want to eat healthy stuff, like make my green pina colada: full of protein and nutrients!
Let's rock this!
We can do this!!!
@emmoen
yay on doing stairs.
wow: 4 knee surgeries. I had 1 ACL replacement; can't imagine 4.
You'll be running around in no time.
@stepherz84
I hear you about slacking.
You've been doing great, so a little break is good.
Let's re-focus.
@jlkermode : Jamie: hahahha
My thighs will always rub. That's why I don't wear corduroys.

I'm joining in. It will be difficult for me to lose 10 pounds in 31 days, but I'm going to give it a fighting chance! Among other things, I want to look nice when I leave for Daytona Beach on June 10th0

Happy Mother's Day!!!
My house is beautiful with silence: DH took the kids AND the puppy to his soccer game, letting me sleep in.
I'm being lazy today.
Tomorrow starts my 30-day Challenge: burpees/pushup/situps.
Join me?

Update:
I just finished 3 weeks of intermittent fasting, which I think went well overall. It definitely helped me cut some calories, but my lack of activity limited results, I think. Yesterday I weighed in at 152.6. So, things are moving slowly but in the right direction. My goal this week is to get 3 days of exercise in. I'm sure that my lack of exercise lately is playing a role in how slow the scale is moving.
Hope everyone has a great week!0 -
Update- 132.6
Started this challenge @ 136.2
Have lost 3.6 lbs. only have 3.6 to go to reach goal.
These last few lbs are hard. I must be close to my maintenance calories.0 -

Well not what I wanted to see but was expecting it... Yesterday was finals and the last day of the semester for me, so time to kick it up a notch. Good lucky everyone. Have a good week!

Me too! Definitely need the support. I want that bikini bod0

Today was a new day.
I've been eating too much and crappy for almost 4 weeks, and I'm renewed!
I have a new incentive: to lose 10pounds for my DH's surprise bday party. It's going to be a big reunion.
So if I lose anything before then (5-8#), I'll be happy!
Game is SOOOOOO on!!!

awesome!
just finished baking snacks to be readily available:
-yummy meatballs and
- frittata muffins
Both with:
- minced onion/garlic/carrots/butternut squash, mushroom,
- eggs,
- grass-fed ground beef,
- homemade bread crumbs, f
- lax seeds.
- (greek yogurt/cheese in the frittata).
Love having them available for my kids for quick healthy breakfast, or throw it w/ pasta/sauce for dinner, or just anytime snack.
I hate not having any thing prepped in the house, which means i grab crap like cheezits, etc.

Thanks guys!
Yes they are definitely the hardest! I have 1# to go and let's be honest it's not going to make a whole lot of difference, but a goal is a goal.
I'm actually thinking of dropping it to 147, if only I could pick where the weight comes off from!! There's a little bit more I want off my stomach but I really don't want to lose anymore butt or boob! lol

I am happy where I am at too but just wanted to be in the 120's. I know it will be hard to stay there but I am doing fine on my eating now do maybe I can just keep it up. I really hope my motivation and resolve stays with me this time.0 -
So my month of loosie-goosie eating resulted in a 0.4 pound GAIN.
But it wasn't as bad of a gain as I had anticipated, from my Excel spreadsheet (which forecasted almost 1.5# gain).
Which then confirms, my TDEE is higher than I thought.
Some online calculator kept reducing my TDEE, because I kept losing weight.
But in fact, my actual TDEE seems to be 1635, +/- 50calories.
YAY!!! This is really high TDEE for someone my height: 4'11".
As I build MORE muscles, I may be able to increase my TDEE to 1700, which would be fantastic!!!
No more needing to eat at 1200calories to lose weight!!!!
Even eating at 1500cals/day, I would lose 1pound every month.
And with my "banking calories", I can even eat 3000 calories on Saturday at my son's bday party.
Awesome workout today: the 5x5 Deadlifts at 135# was so doable.
I'm upping them to 140# next time!!
That's after my Day 4 and Day 5 burpees/sit-ups/pushups, plank/crunches/tricep pushups Challenge, and 95# squats!

@stepherz84 : what do you do for workouts?
How are you approaching this body recomposition?

I'm going to be completely honest...At the moment I'm doing 30 day shred... and that's it
I am really not great with exercise, I get bored very quickly and I'm very quick to talk myself out of doing things. I was doing running for most of my weight loss but that fizzled out. And it wasn't going to give me my desired results anyway. I think the problem is I'm clueless and don't know what I'm doing or if I'm doing it right. I can't count the amount of times I've joined and un-joined the gym over the years! The best thing for me would be a personal trainer to tell me exactly what to do but that's not going to happen. Lol
So I'm following a dvd....and hoping for the best.

Happy Friday!
Had a good weigh in and found I'm at 34.6 lbs! A lb down from last week, when I let my diet really slip for several days.
I'm volunteering at the Brooklyn Half Marathon tomorrow morning- very excited to be giving out water to amazing runners! Hoping to be inspired to really commit to training for a half soon
Keep up the amazing work everyone!0
