Great night.
Hey, you know when people disagree with you, it isn't a sign that something is wrong with their life. It means they disagree with your opinions.
You disagree with me that a calorie deficit causes weight loss (at least according to your previous post). Does that mean you had a bad day? Probably not.

Jelly, why do you continue to want to argue?0

Oh, she isn't an angry woman who wants to argue that you plan to pray for?
Wouldn't do much good to pray for me anyway...I think I am beyond that. I ate Subway tonight and two helpings of Reduced Fat Cheezits!

Well, that's it. You're clearly doomed.

One of my favorite articles.....
Who would've thought eating too much would lead to weight gain?0 -
That was it?0

Wow. Okay, it's awesome you want to accept any and all kinds of advice, but it's summed up pretty much like this: We know you're on here to try and better yourself. If YOU feel that it's best to cut out something like chips or cookies, at least until you can get control of and understand staying within your calorie limit, do it. It's fine. Some people find this works better if they have a hard time with moderation.
We know you have a reasonable understanding of food groups, what can satisfy hunger and that you understand what macros are (even if you don't follow them at first, it's okay).
Don, while his intentions are good because we all know that a healthy diet involes more fresh produce and less sugary, empty calories, is kind of being rude and wants to think what he wants to think.
Just take it one day at a time. Get a food scale, feel a little nerdy, and play with your calorie budget and learn as you go.0 -
Nice OG. Feel better now?-1

It seems you like to be very one-track minded. It also appears that you assume a lot about what other people are saying. Do YOU think we're suggesting that she only eat high-calorie, low-nutrient food? Who peed in your whole wheat flax gluten-free wheaties today?0 -
Get it all out of your system OG, I promise you will sleep better and maybe feel better in the morning.0

@donjtomasco Maybe one day you'll learn to differenciate between healthy eating (which doesn't always include portion control) and losing weight (which will happen to you when you eat less than you burn).0

Who said I would pray for you? Would you like for me to? Would it help you feel better?0

No, I prefer facts, not faith. And facts prove that a deficit doesn't need to be obtained with only healthy food to lose weight. You can have a treat here and there if you are okay with moderation. Not everyone needs to live with a strict diet that has a "good" and "bad" label attached to it.0 -
Emily, why then are you making it about me?0

Everyone else has said the same thing. The exact. Same. Thing. I assume you're being sarcastic because it seems like you prefer the antagonistic position in this thread. Purposeful misunderstanding.0 -
You heard the one about "assume"? Well you are doing it. I just thought that you had finally made a good and helpful point for the poster. Lil hangry there OG?0

You are ignoring some key points to my post. Everyone else has suggested the same thing you agreed with when I posted. What is the point of this then? Are you going to argue that an unhealthy diet makes you gain weight even at a deficit (which is wrong) because this is just going around in circles.0 -

Well, I think this thread has run it's course. OP got her requested advice in spades. Right? This discussion is being closed for the following reasons:
1. No Attacks or Insults and No Reciprocation
a) Do not attack, mock, or otherwise insult others. You can respectfully disagree with the message or topic, but you cannot attack the messenger. This includes attacks against the user’s spelling or command of written English, or belittling a user for posting a duplicate topic.
b) If you are attacked by another user, and you reciprocate, you will also be subject to the same consequences. Defending yourself or a friend is not an excuse! Do not take matters into your own hands – instead, use the Report Post link to report an attack and we will be happy to handle the situation for you.
2. No Hi-Jacking, Trolling, or Flame-baiting
Please stay on-topic in an existing thread, and post new threads in the appropriate forum. Taking a thread off-topic is considered hi-jacking. Please either contribute politely and constructively to a topic, or move on without posting. This includes posts that encourage the drama in a topic to escalate, or posts intended to incite an uproar from the community.
At our discretion, this closed thread may be deleted in it's entirety at some point in the near future.
