Eating when you're not hungry is the worst thing you can do for a balanced diet. Some people (ME) just are not hungry in the morning. After a couple of hours a small bowl of cereal or a granola bar is all I want. I am not going to eat at any time of day when I'm not hungry, no matter what the "scientists" say. Do what works for you.0

I eat breakfast because I love coffee. My acid reflux-y stomach does not love coffee, though, so if I eat an egg sammich before I drink my coffee, my stomach is happier. Also, eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese, bread, bagels, doughnuts, pastry, and cereal are pretty much my top 10 favorite foods, so they get eaten regardless of the time of day.0
