Nothing can suppress my appetite. If I'm hungry--I eat. I just nibble on healthy snacks.

Having read Made to Crave, it I has changed my total mindset towards food and I can honestly say I don't crave foods. I do get hungry, and I eat my planned foods. I don't suppress my appetite, I listen to it and feed it. I recognize whether it needs more water, or if it's snack time or mealtime.

I don't mean to sound corny, I've used phen-phen before and just Fastin too. I've tried it all over the past 40 years...I can truly say that the only book that has EVER made ANY kind of difference in my mindset and has given me results is MADE TO CRAVE. I don't even like reading books!

Note: This book is written by a Christian woman. I am a Christ follower and am still growing in my faith. No apologies for my beliefs and they may be different from yours, but I challenge you to check out the book at your local book store...pick it up and read a chapter before you decide to buy it.

I'm not trying to change your belief system, only you can decide what you believe, but because of MFP and this book, I've lost over 50 pounds and seriously don't crave food.

Here are my top picks in the order in which I use them...

    a starbucks coffee

a mini light baby bell cheese (just like a little diet pill for 50 calories)

    water with lemon

a cup of broth with vegetables

realizing that when i'm hungry.. I'm most likely getting thinner... makes me not mind it so much.

Exercise! But I'm not real consistent with it. I need to do it once daily, but lately it has been once monthly.

I eat breakfast at home before I leave for work (around 7:20) & by 8:00 im usually hungry again & want to snack so I like to grab a big cup of coffee (with equal so the only cals is 40 from the creamer) & that (usually) settles my stomach & holds me over til 12ish when I eat lunch

Humidity. I can't eat when it's hot - which is how I started losing weight originally; one hot summer, consuming just one meal and liquid calories every day. I'm not saying it's healthy, but I felt too sick to eat anything...and dropped about 15-20 pounds that summer.

ETA: exercise. Sometimes I'll be hungry when I'm done exercising, but most of the time it'll totally remove my interest in food.
