I like being complimented and I compliment people a lot too. But there is such a thing as being too complimentary. I start getting uncomfortable when that happens and I begin to think the person is just messing with me or has some ulterior motive. I usually don't mind light flirtation, depending on the person, some people come on too strong or maybe I'm just used to very mild flirting.

I don't get flirted with in real life a lot so I'm not used to it which is why I don't know how to react at times on-line. The few times I do get flirted with in RL: its un-welcomed attention from creepy married old men. My friends say I can't tell when people flirt with me and that's why guys have to be blatantly obvious and then I get awkward and retreat, it's a crazy cycle. I don't think that's true.

I extremely dislike it when I give hints or don't respond warmly and people continue to flirt and I then have to resort to telling them straight away and be labelled as a manhater.

Hey @pewtersky any hints that you might have given me and I might have missed?

I like getting flirted with unless it is creepy. But it makes me happy to know someone thinks I am cute.

@pechepanda girl stop acting like u don't know.. Smart as u are, u probably predict the flirt before it happens lol!!
thanks sweetie, lol, I wish I was that smart, people are always nice and very complimentary for the most part, and I dont pay enough attention to people so its difficult to tell if theyre flirting of just having a conversation,

I beg to differ.. I can tell by how philosophical u are that picking up on a flirt is like peanuts to an elephant .

    @arian10daddy ikr!! Lol

@teagirlmedium I think ur very cute sweetie and I can tell that u have a very bubbly personality.. I bet ur always the life of the party ;) <---- flirting lol

People saying they don't like being flirted with but I think its encouraging.. If someone gives u a compliment whether its about ur body or ur car etc.. U immediately feel more confident. So u mean to tell me that if I give u a compliment, ur gonna feel "uncomfortable"? Riiiiight.... Lol

I hate being complimented. I don't like the attention. I never believe what the person is saying. I am just waiting for the catch, because there must be one. I have a tendency to be dismissive and extremely awkward. I do a fast retreat.

I like ur smile darling and ur glasses make u look very sophisticated.. Will u teach me a few things? (Flirty lol)

    Such a smarty pants!!

I love flirting! I'm going to be totally honest, if you're a guy between 18 and 60 and not creepy or severely unattractive, then I'm flirting with you

I like when a cute guy/girl flirts with me. It's quite a confidence booster. However, I'm happily married so I usually try dodge out if it gets too serious. However, I'm not a flirt because it comes off weird whenever I try to.

Flirting is a great cardio workout - There is STEADY STATE FLIRTING (SSF vs. SSC) like chatting very close while throwing in sexual innuendo at every opportunity... All the way up to HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL FLIRTING (HIIF vs. HIIT) like making eye contact then looking away...then quickly looking back... touching someone on the arm and slowly teasing your finger tips across their skin... or even in business by just keeping your hand in the handshake too long while making eye contact and a sly grin...

I don't get flirted with in real life, so I tend not to recognize it online; therefore when I get friend requests, I always believe it is for genuine friendship and support! Wrong! Once I mention the hubby, bye-bye new friend! I am not trying to hide the fact that I am married... I even speak of my husband on my profile, so why the shock and feeling of betrayal?? You're the one that FR'ed me!!
I think casual flirting is nice! It would be nice to feel attractive again after raising a kid, losing my weight, aging, etc...

nope, I don't like it. I find it intrusive. I don't mind a compliment for the sake of compliment but I don't like flirting

There is such a fine line of being friendly and being flirty. I am such a happy go lucky person and my husband says I cross the line sometimes. But i enjoy a good compliment and I know it would make someone else feel good too :)

My wife lets me have at it because she thinks it's hilarious, I'm extremely introverted but I'm not shy at all so she thinks the contrast is funny. Introversion has absolutely nothing to do with shyness which is a common misunderstanding of introverts. It took her a while to get what it really means. She'll tell me hours later "do you realize you were flirting with that waitress right in front of me and she was flirting back" lol.

My wife is a flirt by nature and so am I. She totally flirts in front of me, but God help me if I flirt in front of her OR if some girl flirts at me in front of her!!
