    I started a progress thread there for today to get the group going. I'm so unoriginal.

    Hi everyone
    Conversation is welcome on this page. The stats guide was for once a week when you weigh in and general conversation any time. But I see that a few have started a progress page and that's fine. Where ever you want to post. But a link to progress page would be helpful for those who want to use it.
    thanks

    I posted a progress page for 7/2 above, not sure if folks are going to start a new progress page every day, but it's something started in the group page.

    Welcome all new to the challenge
    Please feel free to post your progress as well and any issue with this challenge you may have. This challenge was started to help each other out. I am sure we all would welcome any feed back and helpful tips. When you weigh in, you only need to post your weight and any thing to do with weight loss and your journey on the 12 week challenge.
    At the end of your 12 week challenge, then post stats as in the beginning. There is NO need to start new page for discussions, I think it has become confusing.
    We all love to read about success and how we are meeting the challenge. So please let everyone know how you are doing. Thanks Everyone

    Today is my 5th day on the challenge and I did not do so well yesterday. I hate one big meal because I was booked with appointments and it was fast food. :/ My poor choice has set me back a day, BUT I am back on track and planning a head so this doesn't happen again. Now we all have the 4th weekend to make it through, so start planning how you will handle cookouts and family get outings. Have a beautiful day and enjoy your journey.

    I have been cooking and cleaning all day and trying to prepare some great healthy choices for the 4th. It is hard to come up with ideas when you have been use to bake beans, hot dogs, hamburgers, scallop potatoes, etc.
    I guess if you could stay under 1500 calories and control your portions, you still could have some of your favorites.
    We will see.

    Hi IZZY
    OMY GOODNES i am feeling you. I am not Martha or Betty. I wanna just swim and hang out. But... If we dont plan the frontal attack on the plate battle ground then we will not be victorious. And Izzy... I am ready for victory over my body!!!!

    Thanks Cheryl
    I am fighting constantly to achieve my goals and often let my emotions control my decisions and I must up my exercise. So getting through today without over doing it will be a challenge in itself, life is short and sometimes
    you must eat cake :p

    Doing a little grilling this holiday weekend? With tons of burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and beer around, you don't want to go overboard on the calories. To avoid packing on the pounds this weekend, here are some ways to add a healthy spin to your barbecue.

    * Bring a healthy dish
    * Go for homemade guacamole instead of creamy dips & Chips
    * Grill up some veggies
    * Don't always choose beef, try chicken or fish
    * Go easy on the alcohol
    * Get moving after your meal

    I haven't exercised this week, it has been 100+ here in my little part of Oregon so I have been focused on what I am eating. I still have been getting my 10K/5mi of walking in (which doesn't count for me). I hope to get in some pilates before the heat ramps up.
    Happy 4th!!
