    Successes: food prepping over the weekend; focusing on what I CAN eat versus what I shouldn't...easy clean recipes on Pinterest! Food tracking daily (even a bad day)

    Struggles: work has made fitting in exercise difficult. Haven't been strength training as much as I want but been getting alot of walking in and meeting my daily steps goal!

    Successes/struggles this week: Aaaaand I lost the streak. This is the first time I've gained weight but my excuse will be that I was sick at the weekend. Also I think for the last month I was hitting 1000-1200 calories a day so was maybe eating too little. Trying to hit more the 1200-1400 as I am quite active now. My measurements haven't changed so maybe it's protein. COME ON NEXT WEEK!

    I hit under 40 minutes for my 5k run Saturday! I had a 12:49 pace! I have been trying for the last month to get under 40!

    I can actually say that I have not had any struggles this week! I got all my runs in hit 10,000 steps everyday and didn't do crazy over the weekend!

    I am beginning training for my next 5k in October So that will help we keep my running schedule!

    ***Struggles - I knew I had a 3.5 hour road trip this weekend for a 4th of July shindig, but didn't plan for it very well and ended up eating things I shouldn't have / didn't plan for. And after riding in a car for that long, I should have gotten moving as soon as I arrived, but I waited and ended up skipping any sort of exercise for the day...then pretty much did it again on the return trip.
    ***Success - I made some side dishes for the party that I knew would be healthier than any options that were served, and filled my plate with those instead of the chips and desserts.

    Successes/struggles this week: 3.8 is my weight loss because I actually gained a little after the fourth putting me at 212.8 so to be able to still lose 3.8 pounds in these last four days is tremendous! I'm struggling with the newness of eating one meal a day (see intermittent fasting). I literally just started yesterday and so my body is adjusting and I got a serious headache while eating. It was also a struggle to eat a day's worth of food in one sitting but I gotta make sure I get enough food since I'm only eating once a day (plus a vitamin if my nutrients aren't looking right). It actually wasn't that much of a struggle not to eat at work. I got a little hungry but drank water, tea or coffee and I was fine. It takes the stress off of meal prepping, portion control and counting calories.

    Weight lost this week: -3 lbs. I had a feeling that shark week was why I was up last week.

    Struggles: I hurt my neck /shoulder with heavy weights last week doing SL. I'm thinking bench pressing 90 lbs. was what did it or the 95 lbs. rows. I also didn't work out all week last week.

    Successes: I tracked almost everything and I didn't work out at all last week and I lost weight. Go figure.

    - They put a bakery/confectionary in IMMEDIATELY adjacent to my office buidling, and I haven't been there in a whole week. This is big news, people. Sweets are my total weakness, especially come 3 o'clock when I get tired and bored at work. >.<

    - I'm also proud of myself for going jogging in the rain last night. It was really peaceful and cool (70 degrees! Unlike the 95 we've had lately), and I felt amazing afterwards.

    Successes/struggles this week: Success - maintaining my new Core Challenge. Struggle - Being more present when I eat. During the work week I tend to eat at my desk and work at the same time or eat dinner watching TV. I feel that because I'm not tuning in to what and when I eat that I get that "hungry" feeling that I need more. Usually that means additional food that I don't need.

    My goal this week is to drink a large glass of water when I feel that hunger following a meal, or to do a physical activity.

    I had some events on the weekend so I had actually put about a pound back on (probably water weight) but I managed to get it off and lose some more by weigh-in today so yay! I didn't log Sunday because I was at a baby shower and eating a bit of this and a few bites of that and it was just too hard. But I've logged every morsel of food every other day so I'm feeling good about that. I've done quite a bit of walking but nothing else in terms of exercise so I'd like to try and get back into that this week so speed things up (and so I can eat more!)
