They're having blizzards in New Mexico and in NYC we're breaking temperature records. That's pretty scary.

Unfortunately for me, those that irate me; give great advice. So I won't, ignore them. The problem, is in how they; convey it. They're very arrogant!

Rage quits are the best. Especially when they rage unquit, because you know, they never left.

The rage quit is the best when they make a thread about it, then are posting in the same thread like six hours later under a new username, being like "My bad, nevermind."

I woke up the other morning and realized that I had gained a lot of weight. I stepped out of the shower and saw myself in the mirror and said ...."Who is that fat old grey haired guy?" So as the day went on I started thinking that I can't change my age, my hair is grey but at least I have some. So the only thing I really have control over is the FAT, so I made a decision to work on that and joined MFP .... now I am on day 2!

About me .... I am a 50 old retired cop turned Private Investigator with a great family. For fun I tend my heard of Fainting Goats and my Flock of chickens .....

    That's all for now.

Woot woot! This year is almost over! It really took a dive the end of September. Things are picking up though. If I can avoid stupid people in their cars, 2016 should be a great year.

Or the young guys are just looking to hook up with attractive older women like me :(

    @47Jacqueline @tracyannk28

    Fixed for both of you.

Face facts, nobody is going to troll or hope to just find a quick hookup with the ugly ducklings. I'm not saying it's the fault of either of you for being attractive ladies, but if any profile has a photo it leaves opportunity for the "creepy" guys to try. Maybe find a less flattering photo for your profiles, maybe one funny if sense of humor is important, one in professional clothing if that is important to you, etc. Or a very vague photo might attract less creepers and only people with real like interests or something.

And keep in mind that maybe the guy that sent the message you think was "creepy" is just socially awkward, and thought that being forward was the only way to provoke a possible response, especially if they were setting their sights high. I realize that this excludes any guy that calls you a crack ***** when he doesn't get his way, but really most people are somewhat deficient in some aspect. Some of them could be nice guys looking for a similar relationship but just be poor at communicating or understanding what you think is appropriate.

Because, once again facing facts... a lot of the "hook up" type sites and attitudes is because not all women are ladies either. If they were just sites where the guys fished and never got a bite, they probably wouldn't exist all that long.

And totally agree on the blocking likely due to his wife! :o

"Sexy" is not always a physical thing. Shipping and handling charges are extra. But one, get one free only applies to really cheap dates. Your mileage may vary.

loved this response...I have been out of the dating pool for 20 years now but his perspective seems legit. Which doesn't solve the dilemma of where should people (men and women alike) go to find relationships instead of quick hookups.

  • I'm late to the party! But I'm Nikki. I have been on here off and on, and I'm back again! Just had a baby 10 months ago and want my body back by summer!
I wish to find someone real to talk on here as friends to help keep me motivated! Not someone who just wants to flirt, or send dck pics! Lol even girl-friends would be great!
I just moved to a new state as well, 3000 miles away from "home" so I don't have many friends where I am right now or even much of a life after having my daughter :)

I feel you on this one. I love meeting new people but in a platonic way. I don't have kids but do have two dogs and a husband.. that counts I believe. Current goal is to lose my remaining fat.

Me and @_fitness4life_ are currently working on the complex algorithm that will match you with your true MFP soulmate. It may take some fine tuning, but at this point it comes down to when you might drink a lot and what guys you think are hot. From there we still have to figure out the little details... you know, jobs, kids, geography, etc. But there is hope!

This was the start of last years 40 mile 5 Borough Bike Tour in NYC on May 1. It's the biggest bicycle event in the u.s. - 32,000 participants. I'm in there somewhere. :o

I just signed up for this year, but I'll be part of a team of women and we'll start in the first wave, which means no bottlenecks. <3
