Week 1: Very pleased this week. Blew through my original goal of 217 lbs and adjusted downward to 210 lbs. Long walks, 7-8 miles a day, coupled with a calorie deficit each day did the trick. I don't expect this every week though. Plan to celebrate with a glass of wine tonight!
Week 2: Not as good as last week but moving in the right direction. Out of town company for a couple of days had an impact for sure. Still walking every day so that helps. Another glass of wine tonight!0 -

Successes/struggles this week: My diet wasn't perfect this week, and I hope that it will change now as control over portion sizes nad clean eating is a key. I managed to run regularly (three times a week) and my new PB for 5k is 43.40 min - a long way to 30 minutes, but I am pleased with improvement.

Successes/struggles this week: I ate all of my calories in one meal on Tuesday (1250 total). I'm getting used to working and skipped breakfast. I skipped lunch because I was behind. When I finished my shift, I had worked for 11 1/2 hours with no food and my commute is an hour round-trip. I stopped at McDonalds on my way home and had a bacon clubhouse burger, a large fry, and a large lemonade. I didn't particularly care for the burger, but I felt like I was going to pass out if I didn't eat something. Will not be going that long without food again.0 -

Successes/struggles this week: really surprised how much I've lost this week! I think cutting down on all the things I had been eating over my weekends away and holiday and eating more salads fruit and veg has done it. Walking a lot more and it's probably lots of water weight too. But I'm happy! Need to factor in more exercise this week.

- I was unable to do any type of workout as I've injured my lower back and the pain runs down my left leg. So I took extra care with my diet.

I'm back in the US, and ready to get back to our challenges!
Over my 11 1/2 weeks in Europe, I ate All the Things (and drank all the bieres) - and logged everything as best I could. I paid attention to how my body was feeling, and how my clothes fit... I managed to lose over a half-pound per week, without really worrying, at all, about it. (I'm excited, as it gives me great confidence about Maintenance!)
Half-a-pound shy of a 50-pound loss, I'm now about halfway through my weight-loss journey.
(I still find it hilarious that only one person outside my immediate family had noticed I've lost some weight!)

Goals for this week: Work out at the gym 3 times, sign up for a 10k this fall, log food into MFP and try to keep calories at or below the recommended level every day, drink less wine/beer in the evenings, continue walking at lunch.0 -

As I suspected, I didn't lose weight really. I went to the gym tonight, and I weigh 164.5 lbs
I lose weight very slowly though I workout 5 times per week for 2 hours or more per session.
Looking to watch what I eat more without necessarily going on a super restrictive diet.

This week was a bit of a struggle for me. I did exercize 5 times, but again it's with my nutrition. I'm in the middle of moving and that has affected me a lot. Keeping up with everything else, plus the gym, made it that I'm not eating properly. Even worse than last week. As of tomorrow, I will step up my game.

This week I continued doing everything I was doing. I feel like I haven't eaten particularly well, but the food I ate wasn't unhealthy either. I made some Thai soup yesterday (friday) and ate it that day then the next day. There's a lot of coconut milk in that soup, but I also know that the oil in coconut is healthy (consumer in moderation). I'm still struggling to eat healthy food more often.
Also felt pain in my hamstrings on Tuesday, so I haven't run since out of precaution. I still do other forms of cardio and strength training. I worked out 4 days straight (mon-thur) took friday off and did some very light exercise today (Saturday). I'm not sure if I will take a full rest day Sunday or an active rest day. We'll see!0 -
