    8/24 - pre-LL ride 10.01 mi in 32:48 and Lofty Ladies 22.04 mi in 1:25:40 (includes regroup stops)
    8/25 - track workout: 3.87 mi in 40:35 - Started with a 1 mile warm up in 8:54. Then 6x200m on 60 with 200m walk between (sprints: 48, 50, 50, 51, 51, 48 - that is an average pace of about 6 min/mi!!). Wrapped it up with a 1 mile cooldown in 9:43!

    Seriously debating doing the Forestport sprint tri on Sunday. The hubs is working this weekend (so he can't complain about it LOL), it has a 10am start (so even though it's a little over an hour drive, I wouldn't have to leave the house until 7:15 to get there by 8:30 for registration/racking), and it is only $15 ($23 if I want a shirt). Decisions, decisions...

    Got in some final running & swimming yesterday before returning to the hot south. Then did some biking & lifting today as biking is always feasible in 90+ degree heat. Getting some minor surgery done tomorrow on the back (fitness unrelated), so hoping it'll be done and I'll be back in action with enough time to hit my monthly mileage targets.     Following minor surgery on Wednesday the doctor put me on the bench until the incision in my back is closed up next week. I'm disappointed to be missing my goals for the month, but given I have a large open wound on my body, I don't want to aggravate things too much. Doing a massive amount of walking in the interim as I'm not cleared for anything else.

    I think given my severe stomach discomfort following last year's Pittsburgh Triathlon, and the inflamed/erupted cyst following this year's race, I'll be skipping any races involving swimming in urban rivers for the next year or two.
