WELCOME JESSICA!!!! 70 MILES in a month is a GREAT goal!
Today was not one of my best days. I was asked too child sit and then help my neighbor make pickles so I did not get in my normal walk...Only 2.5 Miles today..

Well, I'm back here after a mad weekend and few days. A weekend of dance classes in hot non-airconditioned rooms left me sweaty and achy, but the social dances in the evenings left me grinning from ear to ear. A great way to bump my mileage up, although SO annoyed with myself for forgetting to put my Fitbit on for the first 2 classes on Sunday - think of the steps I'd have had!!!

Cycling - 10/80 miles - yup - even after a weekend of calf-numbing dancing I still felt the urge to fit in a ten mile ride!!!
Walking - 35/50 miles
Swim - 100 laps
Lindy Hop class - 10/4 times
Total mileage target - 45/130 miles
allowed myself a rest yesterday evening, but then I had been working outside all day, including being stuck 45m up in the air in a cherry picker when the machine broke!!!

Aug 1 - chilly (9C) and windy (30 km/h gusting to 57 km/h) with a "feels like" temp of about 5C and a little blast of sleet just to keep things interesting.
And we cycled 38.5 km up the cycleway and back on our Thorn touring bicycles.
Aug 2 - 2 km walk + 45 minutes swimming ... first time I've gone swimming in a long time!
Aug 3 - 0.5 km walk ... snowed in here! First time in 29 years, my part of the world got snow ... right down to sea level. There was snow on my beach!! Roads were closed ... couldn't get out of our area.
Aug 4 - 2 km walk (25 min)

This month has not been particularly brilliant in terms of exercise. An especially snowy cold winter + an especially heavy grad course = not nearly the amount of exercise I'd like to do.
Funny thing, I was actually looking at my kitchen the other morning and found myself wishing I had time to clean it! You know you're busy when ... !! Oh don't worry, it's not a complete pigsty ... I do toss dishes into the dishwasher every couple days, but that's been about the extent of it for the last few weeks.
Oh well, semester break is coming up in a couple weeks. Thank goodness!

A sneaky wander round the Downs on Wednesday whilst the weather was still nice, and two hours of dancing last night have kept my totals going up. My calves are aching a huge amount now and I'm a bit worried I've overdone it!! Still, supposed to be riding to the pub tonight, depending on this rain we now have so hopefully they'll survive through that!!

@ girlinahat- yes that is me in the kitchen.... When I cook or help with dishes I need to have the music crankin. My wife used to have to work every other Friday till 6pm. She always said when she pulled into the garage and heard the music vibrating the house she knew a good dinner was waiting. lol I'm sure my moves with the spatula was not as graceful0

Is it Friday already? I have worked all week trying too help this family with their yard which was in really bad shape. I lost track of time and days...lol
I did get in 3.0 Walking miles yesterday...
TODAY I walked the girls for only 1.5 miles. I then had too go and complete yard raking. The raking gave me an additional 3.5 walking miles... I am one tired puppy and it's only a bit after noon...ughhhhhhhhhh

I actually find cleaning to be therapeutic too ... but these days it is uni > work > homework > sleep ... and repeat. With a tiny bit of cycling thrown in so I don't go completely crazy.
About the only time I have to do anything else is in the few minutes while waiting for my toast to pop up.
