Went too cousins on Wednesday and picked pears. Washed, peeled, cut, cooked...made pear preserves on Thursday and again this morning. My walk was only 1.0 Mile yesterday. 3.0 Miles today....

Timely. Today I had a Mr. Whippy (I don't know if such a concoction exists for you guys. It's basically a whipped ice cream) which was topped with melted chocolate, with a caramel centre. A nightmare to eat as the ice cream kept melting and the chocolate went hard. Much stickiness of fingers...... I felt like a six year old at the seaside today, but they wouldn't let me ride the donkeys.....
A good four miles walking today (still no cycle). Went to the Banksy curated exhibition Dismaland, which is nearby. Thought-provoking. And then may well have found myself walking to a pub to try some guest ales and enjoy a touch of dinner
It's a bank holiday weekend here, so if the weather holds out I'm hoping I can get some miles in!!!

girlinahat ummmmmmmmmm WOW! We have something called 'Dairy Queen' which has soft serve ice
cream and we can have it dipped in Chocolate...ummmmmmmmm MY FAV! ... You reminded me of my Best Friend and me. We went too Florida one year. It was hot. We were walking and stopped at an Ice cream shop. Our Ice Cream cone was melting like crazy! We were walking and eating as fast as we could and laughing..oh did we laugh! lol
I did another 1.0 mile walk after I had posted last night...
Today the girls and I got in two walks.... four miles total on that...

Aug 1 - chilly (9C) and windy (30 km/h gusting to 57 km/h) with a "feels like" temp of about 5C and a little blast of sleet just to keep things interesting.
And we cycled 38.5 km up the cycleway and back on our Thorn touring bicycles.
Aug 2 - 2 km walk + 45 minutes swimming ... first time I've gone swimming in a long time!
Aug 3 - 0.5 km walk ... snowed in here! First time in 29 years, my part of the world got snow ... right down to sea level. There was snow on my beach!! Roads were closed ... couldn't get out of our area.

Today I managed 4.0 walking miles...
My goal was 120 walking miles. I am short by 8.43 miles.... but it is what it is.

I totalled 86 miles. Given that I managed 128 miles in June and only 94 miles in July, there is a terrible pattern here!!! In my defence the weather has been against me, but there is no excuse!!
For September I will go back to my June target and see how I do
well done everyone else - keep on moving

So I missed my goal by 8 miles and I'm a bit bummed but the reality is that if I weren't doing this group I'd have walked nothing and 42 miles still feels pretty good
