finally made it out on the bike for a swift 16 mile evening ride. So much for my friend having some health issues and taking it slowly!!! My legs were burning!!! Nice to get out though.
Cycling - 26/80 miles -
Walking - 51/50 miles - smashed my walking target although to be fair many of those miles are to do with the plethora of dance classes I've been doing!!!
Swim - 0/100 laps
Lindy Hop class - 12/4 times
Total mileage - 77/130 miles
eleven days to go in August - not that optimistic that can fit in enough rides to fulfil my bike riding target, especially as there are thunderstorms predicted at the weekend. I suppose the worst case scenario is I thrash them out in the gym but it's so BORING!!!0 -
@girlinahat- nice ride, three more of those kinda of rides and you'll be right there. I got to get back on it. Been so busy it's been a week since I been on the bike. That's very unusal but got to get the mind set to do it. Congrats on the walk/dance goal!0

Aug 1 - chilly (9C) and windy (30 km/h gusting to 57 km/h) with a "feels like" temp of about 5C and a little blast of sleet just to keep things interesting.
And we cycled 38.5 km up the cycleway and back on our Thorn touring bicycles.
Aug 2 - 2 km walk + 45 minutes swimming ... first time I've gone swimming in a long time!
Aug 3 - 0.5 km walk ... snowed in here! First time in 29 years, my part of the world got snow ... right down to sea level. There was snow on my beach!! Roads were closed ... couldn't get out of our area.
Aug 4 - 2 km walk (25 min)
Aug 5 - 5 km walk (60 min)

And today is my husband's and my anniversary. 7 years! We met on a cycling event in France 12 years ago.

Just too let everyone know I've heard from Jessiann. She is really busy with a lot of extra things going on. She has been walking 2 miles every day though. Says she hopes too be back with us soon....

Today was very busy here. I walked the girls early morning. Then I mowed our neighbors lawn, came home too rest a bit and have lunch. Went back too neighbors and Raked the yard a bit. All in all I got in 6.57 miles...

vanilla ice cream for definite. or maybe when I get round to making gooseberry and elderflower ice cream I'll have some of that. (Is a discussion on ice cream allowed on this board? )
not an architectural engineer, I fix old things. Sculptures, historic plaster ceilings, architectural ceramics that sort of thing. We do the sort of stuff that scares the average builder silly. Mostly I sit in an office and juggle people and logistics around, occasionally I get to climb tall buildings and crawl around in roof spaces.
