It will be the worst mistake of your life." I know that's not fair OR nice (hence why I refrain), but that's just where my head and heart are at right now. blah.
Aww. I'm sorry your experience was negative. It isn't all bad. Sometimes there is a lot of good.
Yes. That is true. My grandparents were married for 57 years before my grandfather died. Madly in love the entire time. But I'm no fool either...I'm sure there were times they probably wanted to murder each other.
My advice, based on my personal experience, is to just not. You'll live a happier healthier life.0 -
I've seen happy marriages in my life. My grandparents have been married almost 60 years. My parents have been married more than 35. I had no trepidation whatsoever when I said yes, then a year later said "I do."
I've only been married 6 years, so I can't say what will happen in the future, but I've been really happy so far and can't see regretting it even if it goes bad in the future. Especially since I have my son from it.4 -

I hear you. This is why I'm going to California and Colorado this summer. I need a break and dissappear for a bit.

I'd be flying out of Cincinnati or Indianapolis, most likely... and travel time is 22+ hours according to the various tickets I looked up recently when I was daydreaming.1 -

You'd have some layovers and not be that long in the air. It probably factors in those as in total in transit time. I've done it a couple of times. We flew Toronto to Chicago to LA to Auckland once then eventually Sydney. we seemed to arrive everywhere at 10 am it was weird. And coming home we had like 3 breakfasts. they all offered the same items.0 -

Yeah, they all show 2-3 layovers, and 22-32 hours of travel time, total. Bleh. But I still think it would be fun to go, even if the travel time sucks.0 -
