Well isn't that quite the curse dammit! The very thing that makes me potent discourages contact!
And with an erection and no where to put it....god is cruel. God is probably female.
Would then God be instead Goddess?
not necessarily. God isn't really gender specific, i don't think we have a male only word, yet we have a female only one. It's odd. I checked it out after it came up the other day. Also it only really seems to apply to certain methodologies.
I'm not talking norse, greek etc here im talking the ol' big G of Christianity etc
Yes this is why I ask. I asked yesterday if Aphrodite was a god and was informed she was indeed a goddess. So it made me think about gods being gender specific. But then again, the Christian creator is God, with a capital G, not just a god. That must mean something important superceding any need for gender specifics. I just wish when man invented God they could have included more detail
Big G God in Christianity is just a capitalization of a title... like Him/He, Lord, and Father rather than a name. Because it's a monotheistic faith, there is only one god... so it became God.0 -

Me? An outlier? Bite your tongue big boy. I'm not the one with the hangups and false expectations.
Multiple men have complained about how watching so much porn (to the point of becoming addicted to it) has affected their perspective on sex and women in general. Especially if all you do is *kitten* to porn. On multiple websites like yourbrainonporn, there are studies that prove this. If you don't have problems watching porn, good for you but that's not the majority.

If we were created in God's image, why the penis? Why does God have a penis? I assume he does not have female genitalia because he created Adam first....
I'd be happy to discuss theology with you privately, however religion is a no no topic here.1 -

My husband was taught in seminary to refer to God (the Father, not Jesus) as God, the Lord, or other non gender specific titles rather than gender specific pronouns.
So...

Mark Manson has a good article on this topic. It's either about porn addiction or masturbating, can't remember off top of my head. I talked to a guy here a long time ago who when I asked why he didn't just go watch porn to get off he said he'd stopped watching because he was having issues IRL with women. I don't know that it's the majority but it's been proven that porn addiction can happen and it does cause issues for people.
100% that it can happen but i no way is it the majority. Think about it logically, if the majority (which is a helllllll of a lot of people in a multi billion pound industry) had this issue there would be wide spread effects. Less babies being born, more media attention, more legislation to combat the issue, the list goes on.0 -

That's why I pointed out I don't think it's a majority. I do wonder though with the next generations growing up with such easy access to porn if it will become much more of an issue. Oh and here's the article I was talking about:

I did notice that, i wasnt saying it was your point. That wasnt too clear my apologies.0 -
