Knowing what I know about Mike Post, this is a theme to a TV show.
I don't recognize the other names.

I'll guess "The Rockford Files", since it's on my playlist.

Good guess, but no. Those actors aren't the main character, but listing the main character's actor would be too easy.

The main character actor has had several very successful movies (many of them westerns), made appearances on several other shows, and has a current TV police series. He has played dramatic and comedic roles well.

Is he also in a reverse mortgage commercial? Your clues helped, although, I never watched the show.

Is it the theme to Magnum P.I.?

That's the one. Never watched Magnum P.I.? One of the few it seems. It was pretty popular.

I thought Mike Post did the theme to Simon and Simon, but found he didn't. Huh.

    Go @snookeroo

Well, if the Rockford Files tv show doesn't date me, this will. I had a Ktel 8 track tape (which included The Rockford Files Theme...and 19 other ORIGINAL songs by the ORIGINAL artists). Some great memories on that tape!

Winnie the Pooh + Magnum P.I. Theme = (artist and song title)

You can buy K-Tel Music Express 20 original hits original artists on Amazon, but it's an LP, for $34.

    Wow.
I have contemplated collecting the Ktel albums from the '70s. I have seen them in the the record shops. Probably for a dollar or so. They are now sort of a time capsule of the years. Would make a nice collection of the decade. However, $34 seems steep...even at todays iTunes $1.29 rate (that would come to $25.80)
But, @deckerp, if you are so inclined, Christmas is coming.

    Is that the following?
Winnipeg + Magnum P.I. = (artist and song)

I don't think Bryan Adams is from Winnipeg, but maybe another artist is?

No. According to the story, Winnie the Pooh has a whole other name. I accept Googled answers for this one.

But, his “actual” name is what a band from Canada called themselves. They had a hit in the early ‘70s. As far as I know they are a one hit wonder

    Edward Bear -- Last Song

I know that one, but when I searched on Winnie The Pooh's real name it said Winnipeg. Hmm.

    Funny about the Canadian tie-in.

Me either. So I don't even know the connection you are trying to make.
    Not Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Oh, I get it now. Still wrong.

Sunbeam and Wonder are a particular product (name brands). I hope not specific to my area,
