He's preparing a meal in the kitchen and innocuously tips over a glass of water, but didn't notice.
He goes to open the fridge to get some kale or whatever and an apple rolls out of a hole in the crisper, it travels along the floor and comes to rest near the newly made puddle.
He goes on to plug in his blender, needing an extension cord that he allows to fall to the floor. Unknowingly close to the puddle of water.
Suddenly his newly installed blinds on the kitchen give way, the cord from the blinds get caught on his hand and he becomes entangled. As he tries to free himself his small poodle runs into the room, running around his feet.
In his struggle to free himself, he falls backward over the dog who is now lapping up the puddle on the floor.
Just before he hits the ground, the earth is destroyed to make way for an intergalactic bypass
