I am training for a sprint tri in June. My goal for the last of 2 weeks of November is to swim 4 miles, run 12 miles, and bike 60 miles.0

My husband and I cycled an Audax Tasmania event called the "I Will Ride 100 Miles". It was a challenging ride with climbing and all sorts of weather (sun, wind, rain). Definitely one of the more difficult centuries I've done!

Had a great vegas weekend. Ran the half marathon in 1:32:46 (7 min/mile pace) with a reasonable amount left in the tank at the end - although conditions were just about perfect. Need a 3:07 to qualify for Boston next spring vs. 3:12 next fall, but may focus more on running the next 2 months to see if I can land a BQ at Disney in another 8 weeks, although I'll probably crash & burn as the course has too many tangents and folks run it very long.
Otherwise, no swimming/biking, and just one lifting session at the hotel. Got in 100,000 non-racing steps between Thursday-Sunday as way too much strip walking took place.

@Ohhim - are you just doing the marathon, or are you doing Dopey? I have a couple of friends who are doing Dopey.
Just the marathon. Next year's ironman is insane enough for me, and I'm not sure I'd be willing to sacrifice the ego w. slower times for the dopey/goofy challenges. Not sure I want to push for a BQ after checking out a few race predictor calculators, but I'll see how things go in the next 8 weeks.
Got in some slower recovery runs back in the Florida steamroom weather, and a bit of lifting today after taking a full rest day yesterday. Falling behind on my targets, but I should be able to get in some longer rides and runs this week. Definitely don't want to rush my recovery following 2 solid races over the past 2 weekends.

Finally attended my firsts masters swim class yesterday. Unfortunately, they were pretty happy with my stroke and its consistency even late in the workout. I was kinda hoping to hear that there was some sort of major flaw to correct that would instantly give me lots of extra speed. I guess that means I'll need to just get in more pool time if I want to get faster.

Just a 1 hour group ride this morning doing 26mph on flats - needless to say at that speed, I didn't do much of the pulling up front. Still, happy that I clocked over half of the miles at that pace and actually was one of the fastest climbers (due to my time up north). Otherwise, I got in a short lifting session before picking up guests at the airport. Ended up sitting in a 2 person crew shell this afternoon to help a guest get ready for a duathlon (5k crew rowing + 5k running) tomorrow and realized that I'm definitely not a rower, nor do I have much interest in becoming one. Looks like I'll just be sticking with the running portion of the duathlon tomorrow.

Looks like I'm finally going to miss my goals for the month as I'm heading north Wednesday for Thanksgiving and will be bikeless and pool-less. Also, unlikely to average 12 miles/day for the rest of the month, but I'm sure I'll get away from the family for a run or two when up north visiting.

i was actually in 2 minds whether to run the 10km. My body was aching anyway, my left shoulder tight and sore, my lower back grumbling, and, new to me, my hips! They felt loose and not at all right. A couple of times during the week, id taken a step and nearly hit the floor with my left hip being the problem. My initial goal was sub 50.
But, i rocked up anyway. It was cold, but it was dry, and it was a beautiful day in Greenwich. Thor was nowhere to be seen. I figured that after a km or so, my body would let me know whether to continue or not. And those hills, they were murderous! It was 2 laps of a rather zigzag course, 3 inclines each lap. The last of which was run down this steep hill, then around a cone at the bottom and back up. I was literally shouting myself up that hill on the final lap, and, as you peak that hill, turn tight, and then a final dash of about 200m to the finish.
