    Recovering fine from my race this weekend, so I ended up joining a small group ride with one of the race teams I met at my triathlon. I took my road bike (as I wasn't sure about group ride etiquette on tri bikes), but the others were on tri bikes, so I ended up sucking a lot of wind keeping up on their tempo ride as they liked pushing 25mph on the long flats. Needless to say, I spent most of the ride drafting, but was able to pull a bit on the bridges as I seem to be a reasonably solid climber. Regardless, it is always good to make a few more training contacts, even though I tend to prefer training below my race pace.

    Otherwise took it easy yesterday then resumed my grind today. Not sure I'll hit my running goal as I'll need to taper & recover from my half this weekend as well, but I'll aim for 60 miles/week for the last 2 weeks of the month.

    11/1 - 4 mile run

    11/3 - 9 mile run, 0.7 mile swim, 40 min lift

    My husband and I cycled an Audax Tasmania event called the "I Will Ride 100 Miles". It was a challenging ride with climbing and all sorts of weather (sun, wind, rain). Definitely one of the more difficult centuries I've done!

    Had a great vegas weekend. Ran the half marathon in 1:32:46 (7 min/mile pace) with a reasonable amount left in the tank at the end - although conditions were just about perfect. Need a 3:07 to qualify for Boston next spring vs. 3:12 next fall, but may focus more on running the next 2 months to see if I can land a BQ at Disney in another 8 weeks, although I'll probably crash & burn as the course has too many tangents and folks run it very long.

    Otherwise, no swimming/biking, and just one lifting session at the hotel. Got in 100,000 non-racing steps between Thursday-Sunday as way too much strip walking took place.

    Just the marathon. Next year's ironman is insane enough for me, and I'm not sure I'd be willing to sacrifice the ego w. slower times for the dopey/goofy challenges. Not sure I want to push for a BQ after checking out a few race predictor calculators, but I'll see how things go in the next 8 weeks.

    Got in some slower recovery runs back in the Florida steamroom weather, and a bit of lifting today after taking a full rest day yesterday. Falling behind on my targets, but I should be able to get in some longer rides and runs this week. Definitely don't want to rush my recovery following 2 solid races over the past 2 weekends.
