OK, I'm new to this but I need to start somewhere. I walked today about 20 min total. Not a whole lot, but proud of myself.

Welcome! This is a fun group... just competing individually with our own personal bests; everyone encourages each other to do their best!

Any movement is good movement. You should be proud of yourself! As scolaris stated, this is a fun group and you shouldn't feel like it's a competition between anyone but yourself. Tomorrow, aim to walk for 25 minutes. Then 30 minutes. The important thing is to stay active and it won't be long and it'll just be a habit.

One thing I try to do is to walk along out-and-back trails rather than loop trails. That way, if I walk for 5-6 miles out, then I HAVE to walk 5-6 miles back. Doing that is an "easy" way to double your mileage but it also sucks if you get caught out in a rain or snow storm and have a few miles to go to get back to your home/car.

Back to feeling more myself again: 20995 steps; 10 miles. And, a Zumba class on top of that. Whittled down my calorie deficit drinking 47 year old port with a chef friend visiting from St Louis... worth it, but I'm looking forward to some quiet nights watching Netflix & drinking nothing stronger than tea!

I'm really liking walking at the mall. If it weren't for all of these rainy days I wouldn't have discovered this form of exercise. I got there an hour before stores opened and walked at a very brisk pace for the entire hour. There are lots of people out there walking before the stores open, who knew?

I am new, but I am in. I usually average between 4-5 miles per day. Since Halloween, I have not done anything. Going for a walk tonight after work, hope its gets me back in the walking mood.

23713 steps, 10.2 miles. I've been taking a walk right after school to take advantage of the light. Slept thru my 6:30 pm kickboxing class though. A warm kitty tummy took me out for the count! Woke up in time to walk dogs with my neighbor.
This format looks different tonight; must explain why the app felt buggy all day! xo
