    My husband has his pedometer in his pocket when he's on the riding lawn mower and it records a lot of steps.

    When I walk the dogs in the big grassy field in the morning, they stop a lot to sniff and eat grass and my pedometer records a very low step count---this morning it was 497 steps in 25 minutes.

    It also counts differently depending on where you place the pedometer (that I have noticed). I was usually carry my iPod in my waistband on my hip. It records my walks. One time I put it in my pocket due to weather and it inflated the steps. I knew because there is a pedometer on my shoe. So, our lessons , theses tools do help, but they only estimate.

    November 11th - walked 3.0 1 mile 19 min.
    November 12th - walked 3.0 2 miles 45 min

    11/13/15 20,031 steps - 9.63 miles. 2:44'01" 837 calories. 2 (3 lbs) weights and 8 lbs weighted vest. Neighborhood + +

    Interesting about the pedometer....I will have to remember to cut my grass (next summer) when I am in my next step challenge lmao! My son and The 2 dogs were my walking partners today...love this kid...always helps me out by walking with me and knocking out candy out of my hand (I'm a diabetic) when I am bad lol.

    November 1-vinyasa yoga for 1 hour
    November 2- couch to 5k (3km) 30 minutes, I also walked the big chocolate guy 2.85 km
    November 3- elliptical 30 minutes, foam roller and weights 15 minutes, and walking both dogs 3.69km
    November 4- OFF
    November 5- walk/run 2.79 km, and a 2.49 km walking the dogs
    November 6-ellitical 30 minutes, weights, and walking dogs for 3.19km.
    November 7-3.03 walk/run....so tired today I didn't walk the pups. Tomorrow is off so we will see if I go then.
    November8-off
    November 9- elliptical for 30 minutes, weights 30 minutes, walk for 3km approx. (I forgot to set my Fitbit to get my distance bah)
    November 10- run 3 km, walking the dogs 2.52 km
    November 11- elliptical for 30 minutes, and an awesome walk 3.20 km with the husband
    November 12-OFF
    November 13- 2.54 km run and an awesome 3.11km walk

    Walked some at school, ran errands on foot downtown & walked dogs with my neighbor.

    Do you use Fitbit? I never did until I got their scale but now that I have an account I am addicted to their little mileage badge program... I get them based on my MFP pedometer. You should check it out!

    No, I sure wish I could, but it is a little more than I can afford. I just use my little iPod and I leave the pedometer on my shoe for all time. The iPod is just for my exercise walking.

    I didn't put much effort into any kind of exercise last week, so those totals are a happy surprise. I've started well this week, and I do plan to keep it up.
