    British, Scottish and Irish accents make me melt. I don't have any that drive me mad.

    even though its where i am from, not a big fan of girls with london accents, most of them from where i am from sound like chavs
    the further north in england the better the accents i reckon

    also love girls with italian or australian accents

    Don't know if this is a different thread or one I've already replied to but what the hell!!

    In term which make me melt! And this is all when they're coming from female voices!

    French
    South African (I know, being a bit biased there)
    Australian
    Eastern European
    Irish

    Those that drive me mad (from both male and female voices)

    Indian, although I do find it quite entertaining
    Italian
    Chinese
    West African

    JAMAICAN!!! I met a Jamaican guy when I went on vacation, as soon as he spoke he won me over!!!!! LOL

    I love the Jamaican accent!!

    Aussie girls... DAMN!!!

    REALLY? eh I hate our accents! I was watching this movie last night called 'Life Happens' and one of the main characters has an Aussie boyfriend and they clearly dumbed him down, e v e r y word was annunciated with a very ochre version of our accent; a clear misrepresentation!

    I love American, Canadian, British, Spanish (oooo yeah!) and French! ohhh and South African!

    Melt: Scots, England, Irish, Colombian, and Italian.

    Mad: Indian (the country, not American Indians), Chinese, and Fargo.

    I have a good friend from Spain who is Finnish by birth. Her combined Finnish/Spanish accent is TO DIE FOR!! I wish I could sound so sexy!!

    Being from South East England, I'm rather biased towards a nice, well spoken, upper class English accent.

    But I absolutely CANNOT STAND the Bristolian (South-West England for you Amercians) or Scouse (Liverpool, North West England) accents. Easily the worst accents known to man!

    I can't stand Scouse accents (Liverpool, England) and I love German accents. A real German accent is nothing like the expectations of people who have never met a German!

    Scotland is in Britain, dear. "British" accents are incredibly diverse. :laugh:

    Any type of hillbilly accent is disgusting.

    I don't care for Asian accents.

    But I love Welsh/Scottish/English (not the super Cockney accent)/Irish and some western European.

    Melt: Scottish, Irish, Welsh, south-eastern American, south-western American, Spanish.

    Wither in pain: Jersey, NY (NYC, Long Island, Satan Island, etc), Massachusetts, the side of New Hampshire that speaks like Massholes, Minnesota, Wisconsin.

    Tolerate: Cape Cod, Maine, old Vermont, the side of New Hampshire that speaks like Connecticuters.

    That may seem really intolerant, but keep in mind that I'm from Virginia and have a southern twang that could cause a phonetic world of hurt to any number of people.

    I'm English & live in Canada (been here 3 years). I often get complimented on my accent which is always very flattering. England has such a wide range of accents for such a little country!
    I myself like Scottish accents but they too vary greatly across Scotland - I like the softer Scottish accents rather than some of the harsher ones. I'm also a sucker for a sexy sounding Italian or French accent! And of course I love the Canadian accent :smile:
