What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

My main goal is to become healthy. To be able to reach down to my toes without difficulty. Go up on the stairs without breaking a sweat and having difficulty with breathing. Stop getting palpitations on exertions.
I've lost about 30 lbs then steadily gained back 15 lbs. I'm disappointed in myself that I've lost control of my diet. Didn't help that I broke my heel in February.
But now I'm back on track and I know I will be able to lose more.
So my short term goal is to work up my training time to 60 min like it was before my injury.8 -

I have a few mini goals.

I've been working on losing weight for 2 1/2 weeks now so I haven't been doing this for very long. My ultimate goal is 150 lbs although this may change once I reach it. My first mini goal is to lose 3 lbs this week which would be 213 lbs. Every time I want to eat something that isn't planned for, I remind myself of 213. "Should I eat that cookie? Nope, I need to get down to 213." It is a great way of keeping me on track. If I reach 213 this week, next week I'll aim for 211. The second mini goal is to lose 10 lbs which happens to be the same as the first mini goal - 213 lbs. After that I really want to get under 200 lbs. I'm guessing I'll get there sometime in August. Finally, I would love to be under 185 when I go on vacation to Jamaica next February. When I graduated high school 15 years ago I weighed 185 so it would be a very big deal to me to be under that weight. Also, the last time I lost weight was 3 years ago and I got down to 188 before gaining it all back and more so 188 seems like a barrier I need to break.10 -
I set new mini goals every month. This month my goal is to not exceed my MFP recommended calories in any of the days. Not exactly the kind of goal most people have posted, but it works for me to help keep me on track.18

I do the same thing! Like mini challenges for myself. In April, I wanted to eat meatless on 5 days a week (just so I could learn to be more comfortable with vegetables) and in May, I also made my goal to stay within calories. In June, I changed my exercise routine so I am focused on sticking to me new plan and hitting between 100-120g of protein daily- so far so good. It changes things up for me and gives me lots of NSVs to focus on along the way So I think your plan is great- good luck with it!5 -
2lbs to go and I will finally be in the healthy weight BMI category16

Made it! My mini-goal now is hitting the 150's!!!16 -
I got off track for a while.... sloppy logging and just not feeling it. I gained back 4 pounds between January and the end of May. So I'm at an even 180 lbs (5ft5 female). My mini mini goal is to get to 169 and I think I can do it by August 21. My mid-mini goal is to get to 150 by December 31. That would be around 1 lb per week. I would really like to be at 140 lbs by June 1 2018. We're going on an epic 2-week road trip to visit family and sight-see in Utah and Colorado. I want my husband's family to be SHOCKED when they see me! I last saw them 6 years ago and weighed 210 lbs at our wedding.11

March 1st I decided to change my lifestyle and really lose the weight once and for all. I started out at 214 and got down to 196 before I got depressed, lost motivation, and started slipping. Then, my mother passed away.
From June until October 23rd I gained back all but 3 of those pounds I lost started at 211 this time. I am down to 200.6 now and want to get down to 196 or below by the new year. It will put me back where I was finally and feel more like a true starting point.
I was 195.6 as of 12/25. I think there will only be a small loss on 1/1 or I will just end up maintaining, but still I made my goal. I am under 196!
Next mini goal is to get out of the 190s! Hopefully by the end of January.
189.4 as of this morning 1/14!
My next mini goal is to lose 10 lbs so I can get out of the 180s and no longer be obese just overweight.
Let's try for the first week in March? Will update when I reach it.
February and March were rough months for me. I recorded my first ever gain from week to week in January and by February my mind was just in a bad place.
I had been eating at a deficit for over three months at that point and the weight just wasn't moving the way it once did.
I got overwhelmed, I got complacent, and I just stopped tracking and going to the gym. I didn't really gain any weight (thank goodness) besides some water weight, but I didn't lose any weight either.
Two weeks ago I decided after weeks of saying I was going to get back on the horse to actually get back on the horse.
Finally reached 179.8 lbs today which means I am no longer obese. It didn't even hit me until I was out today clothes shopping that I have finally done it. I'm no longer obese.
Just wanted to update to encourage people who sometimes have a hard time. You'll get there even if it takes longer than you'll think. You'll get there.
So next mini goal. . .under 170. I'll update when I make it.
Drumroll please.
Ladies and gentlemen as of today I am finally under 170 lbs!
I started my journey on MFP back on October 23 at 211 lbs. My first real goal in my mind was to get to 170 lbs. I hadn't weighed 170 lbs since my freshman year of college. I have tried losing the weight many times, but every time I would lose some weight and then gain much, much more. Never, ever getting this low.
I never thought I would see the day again I was under 170 lbs. These last few weeks have been hard. So many days I felt like I was working and working for nothing, but this is proof that it does pay off eventually. I could cry I'm so happy.
So next goal is to make it under 160 lbs. Won't that be surreal.25 -

My mini goal is to get to 250. It the number I lied about on my Driver's License and haven't been since early high school. I'm almost half way to my mini goal. Getting under 200 is the ultimate goal. Left the 300+ club behind want to do the same for the 200+ Club.15 -

I am aiming for 140 by the beginning of summer. Was 140.2 yesterday, up to 141 this morning, think I had too much sodium yesterday. I have 4 days to lose the pound.
I'm 60 and have lost 52 lbs. I'm at my lowest weight in 25 years,10 -

6/10/17 Bellin Run 10K (walking division) update:
Almost faster...it was hot (upper 70s F) by mid-race, that always slows me down, especially since my second 5K is normally faster than the first half. Thank goodness for sprinklers on the course! Chip time 1:38:01 and average pace 15:47 / mile. That's 2 minutes 19 seconds slower than my 4/1/17 10K, but 6:40 faster than last year's Bellin, when the heat & humidity were horrendous.
Not sure about weight in race last year, but know I'm at least 10# lighter. Race photos not available yet, s/b later this week. Here's hoping.
6/16/17 update:
Professional photos of race available today. I can definitely see improvement, and they even got several of me smiling!5 -
My new years resolution was to just make myself walk one mile a day. Now it is June amd I am at 7 miles a day!14

fitting into my smaller pair of jeans. I can button and zip them now but need a little more space in there.
Also 3 lbs away from leaving the 200's, thats a big one for me.12 -
I met last week's goals of working out 6 days and also completing week 1 of C25K. However, my eating was not on point and I'm still bouncing around between 201-204 lbs.
Therefore, this week's goals:
1. Complete C25K week 2.
2. Do strength training on my off days.
3. Do whatever it takes to be within 250 calories of my daily goal this week including tightening up logging as much as possible.
I think #3 means taking over cooking from my husband this week. I made supper on Saturday and lunches last night and I'm planning to make dinner tonight as well.
#1 & #2 are done. I'm actually not sure about #3, have to go back & look. But I know I've kept reasonably close to goal all week.
Next goal is to complete C25K Week 3 and to get to Onederland.5 -
@sarahthes Congratulations on the consistent exercise.2

Great thread!
My mini goals this week:
1. hit my protein goal every day.
2. maintain the 2-lb loss I saw last week so it averages out to 1lb/week.
3. stick to my plan and be patient with the scale.

My minigoal mistrun 5km. I have done 4.7 already and am quite comfortable running 3 now.8

Being able to wear whatever I want to an upcoming wedding. I'm so tired of the extra time it's been taking me to shop for things that are flattering and comfortable.6

to get under 14st - 3lbs to go
DONE!
And 2 weeks ahead of 'schedule' (my birthday)
next:
- complete C25K and do first park run. Am on week 7 at the moment so parkrun will probably be mid July
- start open water swimming (am mega excited about this! hoping it will be tomorrow or Saturday after)
- reach Goblet of Fire in the Harry Potter Challenge (8lbs to lose)
so, have done an open water swim. 1km- 2x500m laps, beautiful lake, really friendly people
very cold - although people there were saying how warm it was! but I was minus wetsuit. Got used to it pretty quick though.
Was very fun, but need to relearn breathing!! and stop panicking at not being able to see underwater at all!! only did about 100m front crawl, rest was breaststroke and most of tat was with my head up!
I also pull way more to the right than I realised! stuff to work on9 -
I have two mini goals I am working on at the moment. First is to reach healthy BMI (2.6kg / 5.7lbs to go) then to reach my lowest weight since having my son 7 years ago (6.8kg / 15 lbs left). I hope these don't take too long to accomplish.4

#1-Getting consistant ata staying under my calorie goal!
#2- being able to remove my wedding ring without the soap and running water! Lol7
