I love that you are breaking up your goals into much smaller goals so you can observe repeated success. I think it's fantastic that you've decided NOT to "reward" yourself with food. Very wise!
That said, if you have some time you might look in on some research on wearing Crocs all the time. I have a pair, and I wear them often. Not in winter. They're great on river trips; I can leave them near the boat and put them on to wade out and climb aboard so my "dry" sandals stay dry and don't get coated with sand. The research I'm aware of may not apply to us because we are adults; however I did hear on NPR that Crocs aren't good for kids to wear exclusively. They can inhibit proper foot development and lead to hammer toe. Get the pink Crocs, but maybe wear some "real" shoes part of the time.
You can read the NPR story from October if you want all the details.1 -

Thanks. I also wear flip flops a lot (probably not good), and I have a pair of hiking boots. I brought some second hand sports shoes online but have been avoiding wearing them because I think they might give me blisters and I don't want to regret my purchase, lol, perfectly logical thinking.0
