What Mini Goal is motivating you right now!

I read this interesting essay by a fitness professional who decided to eat whatever she wanted for a month to see what happened and she found that while the weight gain wasn't significant at all she actually felt terrible.
My mini goal is to track what I eat and stay within the boundaries of my daily calorie goal for the full month - not because I HAVE to this time, but because it will give me a sense of discipline and it shows me that I'm loving my body - this is something I'm doing FOR myself. This is a gift I'm giving TO myself. The food, the "treats" are not the treat - the DISCIPLINE is the treat. That is my goal.13 -

It was exciting to see an impressive amount of bars on my report...even though many were short. I had a few "gaps" which indicated I had taken more than a day off. Gradually, my bars have been getting higher and there are fewer big gaps.
When I checked my 30 day report at the end of the day yesterday, I was so proud of myself! Just two full months in and not only are my bars much taller....there is just ONE two day gap! And not many one day gaps. In the last 30 days, I have only missed 7 days...5 one day spaces.
My next mini goal is to delete larger 2 day gaps in March. To never skip more than one day. And continue to decrease number of total days off. I seriously never thought I would be doing this well after just 2 months. 😲
I've cracked this barrier! I've not taken a 2 day break at all in the last three weeks...It's a habit! In the last 30 days there has only been 4 days off. I find I get restless skipping even one day...and it's always been due to time. If your goal is to exercise daily, as mine was, shift your perspective to "move daily". This gives you a back up plan of squeezing in a brisk walk for even 10 minutes. It all counts in your exercise diary...focus on filling your exercise report with blue bars. It has taken less than 3 months for me to eliminate two-day rest days. I'm super confident I'm close to moving daily. 😊13 -
My next mini-goal is 130 lbs. Giving myself a couple months to reach that as my weight loss has slowed down quite a bit, which is to be expected this close to goal. I would like to be 130 lbs by April 1, 2023.
This weekend I reached this goal. I am finally under 130, 129.8 to be exact. The last time I was at 130 was in 1998. And the last time I was in the 120s was in the mid 1970s, before my 2nd son was born in 1978.
My next goal is to reach a 22 BMI which would be 126 lbs. That, I think, will be my final goal weight, plus or minus a couple of pounds.
I'm not putting a date for this goal. Since I am down to the last 4-5 pounds I expect this to be a very slow process. I'm also planning on increasing my protein and focusing more on strength training to maintain as much muscle mass as possible.5 -
47 pounds down, 27 to go to get out of the obese category. We leave for a cruise Thursday. My mini-goal for that cruise is to eat and exercise with purpose. Yes, there will be indulgences, but I don't want to blow the health that I have gained over the past year.8

10lb down
next goal is to get solidly below 230. I was 233.6 yesterday, so round up and call it 5 lb, which also gets me over 5% lost.9 -
Being close to finishing my journey! 10 pounds to go!9

Congratulations @AmyDahlTorres! What a remarkable achievement! I think it would be so much fun to go for a morning walk on deck and watch the sun rise over as many ports of call as possible. It would be a once in a lifetime memory and start your day with intention. 🙂6 -
Mini goal to lose 8lb - in as long as it takes - as have 80 lbs to lose….current loss is predicted 0.4 - 0.6 lbs per week - so is going to take a while 🥴 🐢 and not a 🐇8

My average weight last year was 86 kg, so that’s my next mini goal. I’m around 89.5 kg right now.6

Re- Introduce myself to my skipping rope, it’s been decades!7 -
Get below 300lbs. Hit that goal and lost motivation so headed back in that direction.9

Started in 2012 at 247 and weighed in today at 183. My goal is 170 when ever it happens. Lost weight before very quickly and on diets, but always gained it back and a little more. My mini goal is the next tenth of a pound.

I finally weigh less than my dog. 😂. My new goal is just seeing the 160’s on the scale. I’m 2 pounds away so hopefully it won’t take an eternity. 🤞🏻10

Just to stay within calories - 1day complete! Keep going off piste🙄6

I just joined a gym and I plan to go at least M-Th for the 5:15 am classes. I missed the class today (technological issue) but did 2 rounds of circuit training and 20 min on the treadmill. I need to get rid of 40 lbs and find my fit bod under this fat. I used to be a crazy home-gym crossfitter, so I wasn't too hip on joining a gym, but it has been THE BEST thing. So, getting off the couch and to the gym is my mini goal8

A trip to Florida next month! lol8

weight loss intent is annoying me (don't care to log meals, much less measure them), so two new focuses (focii?). 5 a day of vegetables/fruit and to get my daily steps over 7k on my little pedometer. I can't use the phone so much because I don't always have my phone on me.

For me it is getting ready for a 100km (62 miles) bike ride at the end of the month. I have not ridden a bike in 41 years but to get back in shape and lose weight I bought a road bike last week and am preparing for the Haleiwa Metric Century Ride on April 30th and the Honolulu Century Ride (100 miles) in September.6
