Waaaaay too much to read here, but abridged, yes it's fine. Polyamory can be a lovely thing.

@ThatFatAsianNerd ... shlt... you gotta bring culture into this convo? Wtf? (But a better choice than my Hallmark platitude...)

@henshemi ... I would have been relieved if had just been "terrible".... the worst and most embarrassing part is that after I got torched the first time, I was stupid enough to dive back in a second time....

And if it wasn't for this goddam bourbon, I would have never revealed that shameful time in my life...lol

I'm a GC and one of the employees from a drywall company we hire... He started chatting a woman up from Australia. Didn't meet her for almost a year....then ended up getting married and he moved to Australia. True story. *kitten* happens man, but not many can be trusted

Why would someone want more than one woman to deal with in real life?

    Guys are stupid.

lol I like what you brought up. The thing about solitude though is too much of it can turn a man into Ted Kaczynksi.

I suppose... but my hang up with it is that I want the "poly" but don't want her getting the "amory".

Yeah... been doing it since before most of you were born and yet the flow of stupidity remains strong and vibrant..

In a majority of cases is it the mans fault?

    Serious answer? 98%
If a man makes his wife/partner his top earthly priority, she isn't going anywhere. The minute she slips in priority behind anything... job, friends, kids, fantasy football... she senses it and if the man doesn't pick up on it, the relationship has a high risk of failure. It may take a while because (fortunately for men) women have a high pain tolerance when it comes to being taken for granted. But eventually her spirit starts closing up and by the time most men sense it, it is close to being too late.

See what you did? I better shut up before I go on for pages...

I hated it for a long time, but after 32 years, I have learned to enjoy it (if that's the right word). I like helping people when they are going through some of the worst times of their life...

If wasn't for sex, cyber gfs and alcohol, I would be out of a job....

@newmeadow .... sadly, you have it down. It's bad enough that many men cannot hear the women in their lives, but the greater tragedy is that they cannot hear themselves.

And in case anyone thinks I am preaching and being superior, I suck at applying the truths that I have learned... going through divorce #2 because even at 58 and knowing what I know, and listening to hundreds of women telling me what they need in a man, I can't get my own shlt together...

That would have been fun to be sure, but hanging with you in my office getting lit on bourbon... hell, that could be fatal for an old guy...

No your not! Your kind of an expert really. At the ripe old age of 32 i think I've come to the conclusion that people probably aren't wired to find "the one" and spend the rest of their days together anymore. It's sad. Nowadays it's so easy to just walk away. I read this thing that makes a lot of sense to me.

Mind = Blown this is a real question.

If you're that miserable in your real life relationship, that you need a 'vritual gf' then perhaps it's time to reevaluate your real life relationship?

    lol @ a cyber gf

Perhaps a Fleshlight and a web cam girl would be better, if this is a path one needs to go down, lol...

As hilarious as this thread is...
Any person (male or female) that could accept their loved one having an emotional relationship besides the current one makes me question their morals... but hey I'm not your judge or jury so like someone else said do whatever makes you happy cause you are the one that has to deal with the consequences.

I don't think that a stranger cyber girlfriend counts as an "emotional relationship". It's more like a solo fantasy projected onto an imaginary person.

Lol there's no such thing as a cyber gf.. I think what you're referring to is someone you flirt with online behind your actual gf's back..
