Did you gain weight over Christmas / New Years?

I go back to work on Monday and back to my normal routine. Been off MFP for 3 weeks, have way overdone it on the junk food and feeling like a bloated slug. I haven't worked up the courage to get on the scale yet and see what the damage is! Anyone else nursing a Christmas / New Years diet hangover?

I actually lost almost 2 lbs on my holiday vacation. I had been at a standstill since mid November!0

3lbs. Damage is actually a lot better than expected as I ate really bad... but really bad for me I guess is normal to others so yeah maybe that's why not higher. .. Most of it is alcohol I'm pretty sure!0

If anybody needs to make themselves feel better - I gained almost 13lbs.
Go hard or go home.0 -
10 lbs, eating on the go is what did it, not the holiday meals...and no exercise.0

Woo!
I'm hoping some of mine will be water weight, or something else I can use as an excuse. As long as it comes off in the next few weeks I'll be alright.

I gained 1 pounds. Bit annoyed at myself but I was expecting worse. I suspect walking heaps (average 20,000 steps a day) on a week trip meant I burned most of the pastries, cakes, fast food I ate.0

we all enjoyed our christmas indulgence, time now to get back to the healthy plan

My scale went up 3 lbs but it was just water retention and returned to normal (135.8) within 2 days .
I'm all about enjoying myself on a holiday or special occasion but that doesn't mean the entire month is a holiday !0 -
Real weight? no. The scale went up on the 26th, but was back to normal before the new year.0

I gained 10 lbs between the stress of finals and eating horribly over the holiday. Been back on track for a week now, and down 2.5 lbs. It happens, everyone goes overboard around the holidays.0

8lb in 3 weeks and I don't think any is water! I jiggle again running!!! : ( Still a new year and back in the zone!!! ; )0

I only ate bad on Christmas Day and then we went to a super fancy restaurant on the 27th for dinner and I splurged a little. I weighed in on Mon the 28th at +5 and was shocked..but by Saturday, that 5 was off and 2 more. Sodium gets me every time0

I had a scary weight for a while but I'm back to only 1.5 pound gained since October, and I'm really happy about it, considering how much I ate!0

5LB!!0

My goal between thanksgiving and New Years was to "maintain not gain", and although my weight fluctuated up and down by as much as 5 lbs through the holidays, when I weighed in on January 4th, the net was actually that I had LOST 1.8 lbs. So yay me!0

One pound up. My husband managed to lose a pound (of course ). Considering how crazy our holiday was, I'm pleased with it. We'd intended to stay with a relative and cook most meals, but wound up needing to stay in a hotel and eat restaurant food the whole time, so I think I did pretty well.0

I weighed this morning and 3lbs...I was overjoyed as I literally thought it would be close to 5/6...I ate what I wanted and didn't get to the gym so 3lbs is a godsend!
Back to normal this week!0 -
About 8 lbs. That's about average for me over the holidays even when I was thin so I'm not too worried about it.0

I was away for Christmas and New Years so I couldn't weight myself on my scale.
When I finally got home I stepped on the scale...no change.

I went from 143 up to 148.2 from Christmas Day until January 2, when I weighed in on the 3rd I was 145-so a lot of water retention, food weight etc. Weighed in today and back down to 143. I'm highly motivated to get to my Goal of 129, so I'm trying to be really careful and stick to losing these last few stubborn pounds.0

Got the guts to go on the scales since the 21st. Lost 2lbs. I was really good over Xmas week. The new year week I was terrible. Got a few good walks in tho (6miles on Xmas day!) which is my main excecise routine due to a knee injury so I'm chuffed with myself. I've got a lot to lose tho!0

Not the holidays themselves...I've put on about 6-7 real Lbs since the beginning of October...I generally put on 8-10 Lbs over that period of time, so I'm ahead of the game. It happens every year but comes right off when my training ramps up in January.0
