I'm just going to shoot straight!! I've just been told by one of my former MFP friends through PM that my conduct on the forums is "creepy" and this former friend then proceeded to hurl all manner of insults at me!! I disagree! I think my conduct on the forums has been as good or bad as anyone else's!!
I guess those who have seen my posts on the forums can tell me if they agree with my former friend or not!! And please be truthful! No punches pulled! And also at what point does conduct, especially on the threads that carry a lot of sexual connotations become creepy? Anybody care to elaborate?

When somebody else tells you so, you moderate yourself to what they want from you. Easy enough.
edit: although I do think it's douchey to take a PM conversation public. Handle your own business.0 -
Depends on the source. Even without looking at your friends list or knowing who 'was' on it I could take a guess who told you this.
Consider the source. That's all.0 -
Meh...those kind of people are usually just uptight...big ole' stick up the *kitten*. I delete 'em. I'm here for fitness AND fun...some people are just too uptight and should probably just stay off the internetz altogether.0

No, you have not had any creepy conduct in the forums. Like someone already said, there are some very uptight people on this site. Also, did you delete her? If so, she may have gotten all butthurt over it and lashed out at you. Who knows? But I wouldn't let it bother you. You haven't done anything wrong.0

When you're not good looking enough and / or when you are not giving a person who wants attention enough attention.
Or you're being a creepy douche.0 -

Actually she beat me to the punch!! Apparently that's the reason she deleted me!! But it's okay!!0 -
If your posts are bad, that is what the report button is for. The MFP community mod(s) can be a overpowering at times,so unless you have been given a strike yet.... Don't worry about it.0

Right I was gonna keep quiet but **** it let's have it son
1. Yet again you take someone's "private" issues public. A bit like on my wall concerning another user you used to network with when there was absolutely no need for it in a status I'd put up!
2. It doesn't matter what you say on the forums it's how you act through PMs that are the problem!
Just to clarify I am not the user that sent the PM. However your conduct had been a concern for me as several very genuine female friends of mine have complained about it hence why they deleted you! No smoke without fire. Hence why I also deleted your *kitten* for the final time off my friends list as I will not potentially expose more of my friends to your potential harassment. Who btw are the least uptight ppl you could meet. Remember as well I gave you a 2nd chance after removing you once already before for your "questionable" behaviour!
Btw I can only hope admin remove your topic as well as while you have not mentioned their name this is still a clear violation of several of their forum rules0 -
Honestly if they PM'd you it was something they wanted to privately bring to your attention. I am sure they told you what they felt was creepy and if not you had the opportunity to ask.
If they felt you were being creepy towards them you have the choice of apologizing and changing your conduct with them or do as you did and defriend them.
If they felt you were being creepy to others than it is just something you have to think on and decide if they are being sensitive or if you truly have crossed the line.
In both of these situations bringing it to the public forums isn't needed.
At most post this for your friends on your wall so people who know you can help you weigh you're creepiness..0 -
Runner, I think you should just talk it out with that person one-on-one. I had someone delete me once and I simply asked her why and she gave me the reason. Now, I'm not going to share with the general public as to what that reason was because it was a private conversation but I had to respect her decision and move on. Also keep in mind that on MFP, we are making "friends" (and I use this term loosley) with people we don't really know. Some folks may be overly sensitive on things that we don't think much about and vice-versa.0

Post reported, much too rational.0 -
if a person genuinely found you a little creepy, they'd surely just delete and move on?0

'k, assuming you're being straight up, this dude needs to double check how he's talking to women.0 -

Believe me, what took place in my PM was no where near a conversation! I could tell you exactly what she said to me, word for word, but that'd just be petty and immature! Anyway, I just wanted to get people's views on my conduct and not just rely on one person's opinion!!0 -
Wow a whole thread just for me!!!
So asking someone to leave their partner is not creepy?!? Aah ok let's be honest here they weren't actually insults... An insult would be insulting say 'your nose or your body' not stating your worse than a 13 year old with a porn mag!!
All I'm gonna say 0,1,2,1 do 1. I deleted your *kitten* and you still persisted to message me wanting a reply...0 -

If they think it is creepy, then it is probably creepy.0 -

Yay! Now everyone knows you're creepy! Well done, OP.0

Your one of my friends, and I don't find you creepy, people just have to complain over anything.0

If I can't be creepy, why even be here? LOL0

I have no idea who you are so I cannot offer an opinion on your conduct. Hopefully you know what's appropriate, or not. Look at yourself instead of relying on internet strangers to define you.0 -
so people really get bent out of shape over getting deleted?
this isnt 1st grade where everyone puts a decorated shoe box on their desk and everyone has to give everyone a valentines day card.
just suck it up and realize what some people find funny and joking others may find irrational and distasteful.
to call someone out for deleting you and demanding people let you know if it's true isnt creepy, its immature.
and this is coming from a guy who makes approx 5.6 fart or bowel movement jokes a day0
