Oreos are a superfood disguised as cookies. That helps keep demand down so they can make enough.

Cool story. But for the sake of real life, here's what's actually in Oreos (feel free to point to any "chemicals" or GMOs in the list which could potentially cause headaches).
UNBLEACHED ENRICHED FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN, REDUCED IRON, THIAMINE MONONITRATE {VITAMIN B1}, RIBOFLAVIN {VITAMIN B2}, FOLIC ACID), SUGAR, PALM, AND/OR CANOLA OIL, COCOA (PROCESSED WITH ALKALI), HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, LEAVENING (BAKING SODA, AND/OR CALCIUM PHOSPHATE), CORNSTARCH, SALT, SOY LECITHIN, VANILLIN(--)AN ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, CHOCOLATE.6 -

There isn't any poison in Oreos.....5 -

Water is a chemical, bro.
And did you miss the part where I said "which could potentially cause headaches?" That's key. I'm not denying that there are ingredients likely derived from GMOs.
However, there is not one shred of evidence anywhere that they could cause headaches (or any other effects for that matter).
Canola oil derived from genetically modified rapeseed would be no different than canola oil derived from non-GM rapeseed (the difference between the two plants is that the GM rapeseed plant is more pest resistant which has nothing to do with the oil derived from the plant). Same goes for the corn starch and soy.
As for vanillin, it can be made synthetically (and often is) but is also a naturally occurring substance used to artificially flavor a whole host of different foods in place of the more expensive vanilla extract (from which vanillin can be extracted).
The only way vanillin could cause you problems is if you're allergic to it or already prone to migraines.
So your claims that "GMOs and chemicals" cause Oreos to give you headaches are not based in reality.
Do your research before you come for my Oreos.12 -

There's nothing in Oreos that would poison your body. The fear mongering in such a statement is ridiculous.6 -

I have lots of hobbies, like deadlifting 2X your weight. You came into a thread and starting spewing woo. There's nothing wrong with eating a couple of Oreos now and then. Also, punctuation is a thing.8 -

My daughter loves the mint and peanut butter which are 2 I hate so I can easily not eat them. It's when she asks for the regular or lemon that makes it tough3

I tried the choco chip Oreos recently.
Not dunked in milk: Great
Dunked: I wasted calories on that. I normally love dunking, but it just didn't work for this flavor.0 -

I think Oreos and pizza would be the two saddest dietary restrictions of celiac.0 -
Hey everyone, it looks like I'm a little late to the party!
I do enjoy Oreos, but I do not get why North Americans love these cookies so much. I much prefer other types of cookies - particularly Maple cookies, or lemon cookies - especially if they are soft and chewy. But if I may politely say, it seems to be an American/North American phenomenon, rather than a global obsession.0
