Squats made them bulky...

The only thing wrong with this thread is squatting with a Smith Machine!!
Seriously.
What I was gonna say. That pic is a perfect illustration of how little those gravity-defying Smith Machine stunts have to do with squatting.0 -
She's just jealous.
Shame. She should try squatting heavy; always perks me right up.
Girls that squat heavy perk me up ; )0 -
I feel the need to secretly do squats at work now...0

Saw OPs name was Sweaty_N_Hung. Ran to his profile to FR him. Saw his name was Sweaty_N_Hungry.
Can I sue for false advertising?

Girl's booty was bigger than the stomach of Rick Ross's
Holy mother mountain of tender tending you get lost in
Bounce, bounce, that castle booty, that bottom
Make it wobble, wobbly-wobble 'till my third leg has to hobble0 -
Everyone has something that works for them. That was my point. I know cardio doesn't always work for everyone but everyone is different and to keep posting repetitive threads is pointless imo.
It's only pointless to people who don't want to hear it. Correcting misinformation is important, and the absurd idea that women are going to end up looking like men if they lift heavy weights is all over the place. There are new people joining this site all the time who have swallowed this notion that if they even look at an Olympic bar, they'll grow huge thighs. It's not that they don't WANT to lift weights; it's they're severely misinformed about what lifting does for the body.
I get multiple messages every single day from women who have read my profile (wherein I make my affinity for lifting pretty freaking clear) and have seen my before and after photos, and they can't believe that I lift heavy weights and eat lots of real food and have somehow managed not to grow a penis. A lot of them write me back after a few weeks and tell me how much they love lifting. That alone makes it clear that we need MORE of these threads in the main forums, not less. It is most definitely not pointless, and if it truly didn't matter to you, you wouldn't have even opened this thread, let alone bothered to post in it.
This! Every time I bring up lifting (or strength training) I hear the not wanting to get bulky argument. I overheard this exchange yesterday between a couple of receptionists at the doctors office.
R1: My (I didn't hear what) is too big, I think I need to lift weights.
R2: Then you'll just get biggger.
R1: Yeah, that happened to me when I tried it before.
R2: I just use little ankle weights when I walk.
...they went on about ankle weights from there.
I wish I was more outgoing and would've spoke up.0 -

I suggest you stick to elliptical machines and small 5lb weights.
/chuckle
So...Barbie weights.
You should walk a mile in my shoes.
A couple of times a week my boxing coach puts us through a workout with Barbie weights that sounds simple...until you do it.
Take your pick of weight. They have 2lb, 3lb, 4lb, 5lb and 10lb.
15 minutes of 90 second rounds with 30 second rests every 5 minutes. Coach calls one of the following:
Run in place and punch straight up in the air. Sprint on the coach's command.
Run in place and punch straight ahead. Sprint on the coach's command.
Run in place and punch uppercuts. Sprint on the coach's command.
Shadow box /w weights. Sprint on the coach's command.
Five minutes into it your shoulders catch fire. 10 minutes into it your shoulders start failing from exhaustion. Hurt or not, nobody stops.
And that's after running and jumping rope and focus mitts and before ladder footwork and sparring.
With all due respect, I don't see any of them body builder types walking through the door. And I think I know why.0 -
