Wondering how everyone else feels about getting asked out at the gym?

I've been approached many times by guys I see on a normal basis at the gym, but I've rarely been asked out immediately. Most of them have just struck up a conversation or offered an assist, then probed about whether I'm single. I'm married and tend to mention my husband often, so it's not really an issue. I've made a few really good friends at the gym just by being open and friendly to whoever is around. I assume most guys are just there to work out, and if they make a friend or pick up a lady in the process, it's a bonus.
I have met a few creepers, but they're the exception. The most annoying was a guy that kept coming up to watch my friend and I do the donkey kick machine and commenting on our butts. He basically followed us around the gym. Once we both made it blatantly clear we were not interested, he left us alone.0 -
I wouldn't know... I don't think it happens to men. Well at least not me0

You know what's even more annoying than getting asked out at the gym?..
NOT getting asked out at the gym! Especially my gym. Holy Moly!. Every woman in there is a 10/10 model of sweaty chiseled perfection.0 -
Would love to be.. Been single to long0

If someone asked me out at the gym I would be flattered since I would be all sweaty and have that face of exhuastion. Which would mean that I attract them no matter how I look.0

Although if I dressed in a provocative way and if all they did was stare at my glutes. I would feel different. I would feel sexy and offended at the same time.0

I used to be fairly creeped out. Then I got asked by one of the kickboxing instructors. We're now married and have 3 kids.0

Never been asked out in the Gym. Must not come across as fun or something.0

I don't think it is weird. Not any different than store, university, church, work, etc.0

i bet they're all ugly, that's why you're complaining. if they were hot you'd love it.
Haha, no, no, not at all, especially not at the gym, lol.
It isn't that they are not good looking, I just find it weird to ask out a girl you've never spoken to before...
Generally, I find it intimidating to agree to go out with a total stranger.azulvioleta6 wrote: »Is the gym a sacred space different from other public places?
I don't think that being asked out there is any stranger than being asked out anywhere else.
I rarely get approached in other public spaces.Capt_Apollo wrote: »we get it, you're sooooo ridiculously good looking that guys just can't help but ask you out!!!

Well how else do you expect to meet someone? Your soulmate is not always a set up date or at bars? If you ask me I think it's a perfect place, at least you have something in common, like working out and staying in shape. And you get to see them in person, rather than online dating where people only post their face and not full body. Just my thoughts. And yes yes you are good looking0 -
? I think it's compliment when sum one asks you for a drink or wants to hang out gym bar work whatever .getover yourself0
