Question of the day!
"What movie have you watched 10 times or more?"
I am such a movie geek, my list would be too long for this actually
But a few of my favourits:
- The Shining
- The Green Mile
- Shawshank Redemption
- Intouchables
- The Dark Knight
- Goodwill Hunting
- Law abiding Citizens
- Seven
- Blairwitch project
- Nightmare on Elmstreet
- Jeepers Creepers (all)
should i continue?
I have a terrible memory and I've seen a lot of different movies, but 10 times or more? That's really tough.
Definitely "From Dusk Till Dawn", I've probably seen that over 50x but only because it became a "thing" for my friend and I to watch it almost-daily one summer.
MAYBE Loaded Weapon, for almost the same reason.
MAYBE Mystery Men.
Otherwise, Big Trouble in Little China
and
The Seven Samurai
^^Those would probably be the closest, but even still...not sure of 10x0 -
Anymore, 90% of the movies I watch probably fit into the horror category. And now that you mention it--Halloween (original John Carpenter) might approach the 10-times-viewed mark, as well as My Bloody Valentine but only cause my wife and I watch that every year on Valentine's day Though some years we watch the original, some years we watch the remake in glorious red/blue 3D! That's probably only around 5x though, maybe 8x if you count the new and the original.
It's weird with me--movies that I really like, I try not to over-watch for fear that I'll get too "used" to them and the feeling of greatness will wear off. Some movies seem to just get better with repeated viewings though (specifically from that list: Big Trouble in Little China).0 -
Horror everything0

It's cool, I get that it's not for everybody
I used to love action movies, my wife loved drama's, and once we started dating we had to find middle ground. The only thing we could really decide on that we both liked was horror, so we started watching those together and both developed a rather crazy love of horror.
From hitting various horror conventions and stuff, I dunno how to describe it, but horror fans tend to be the coolest "culture" fans out there that I've found. Tend to be a lot of fun to hang around with, and I dunno...somethin about the mentality of the average horror fan just makes them easy to click around.
I write a lot of horror (more horror than anything else, I guess) too so watching the movies/reading the stories is just another way to fuel that machine, I guess.0 -
Definitely find it--it's a classic. When I was young, I used to think of it as a great comedy; as I grew older, I began thinking of it as a genius comedy. The dialogue gets me every time; I'd kill to be able to write dialogue as tight as it is in that movie.
It's a treat0 -
