Cool. Does it add a lot of weight to your backpack? I heard weight is important.

Nope. It's REALLY small and weighs less than a pound.

newbie runners should definitely use the c25k program... especially if you have never run before... soft tissue needs to adapt to that kind of physical punishment... and the amount of impact force that running inflicts on the body will lead to an injury pretty quickly... Plenty of people find out the hard way that running... should be a natural no brainer kind of activity...BUT I was a middle distance runner in school and let me tell you to run "properly" so you don't injure yourself... takes not just a little training... if ya don't believe me... spend a few hours near a popular running path and watch people... you will see the difference between people who have been running for a long time (5+ years) and those relatively new... I get a kick watching the treadmill runners on the path... anyway... running is great... just be aware if you have NOT done it... it takes preparation

My friend went on a run, drank from a running stream and wound up with E. coli. Be careful!

I tried the c25k and deleted the app as I was bored senseless in the first walking stage. I hadn't even raised my heart rate. Not for me
