    That happened to me when we bought our house just 5 years ago. Mine was from a 401k but they did not ask for proof, I just had to write an explanation of where it came from. I imagine it won't be that easy for you but that is my only experience in that type of situation.

    I find it really stupid myself.....as long as they have the money the bank shouldn't care if it came from aliens or if it was buried in the back yard.

    So happy the judge took pity on me and instead of 11 weeks of grand jury duty, he gave me one day of petit in the end of June. Woohoo!
