    Yesterday a good c 5 1/2 mile stomp around Bewl Water with friends (and dogs), today a shorter walk in a bluebell walk from my friend's housing community in Sussex (via feeding the pigs and raiding the rhubarb patch)

    30 mins minimum every day - 4 out of 4
    45 mins plus (but under 400 cals) - 1
    400 plus cal burn - 2

    a reasonable start to the month - an urban walk in Bristol (more standing than walking, looking at buildings), then yesterday I was up and down all those steps again at Tewkesbury Abbey. Nothing like sitting on a roof of an Abbey in the sunshine!!!

    And then I thought I'd take the bike to meet a friend for some Sea shantying. Which was a great idea, in jeans and a light coat, it was a nice evening......

    until it rained. Oh how it rained. nothing beats the feel of wet jeans against your thighs......

    total miles - 17/100

    25 mins going briskly round Dulwich Park a couple of times followed by 2 (gentle) hours in the garden - weeding, putting in the vege seeds etc. Love spring. However, hamstrings complaining a bit now...

    Oh by the way, you guys who are posting miles walked - is that 'map' miles or pedometer ones?

    ( The one on my i-phone is way overly generous for distance I think.. So I don't like to use it for this personally, though I still look at the step and distance count. Maybe another time I will do a step challenge...)

    Goal for me in April here in Australia 65km so 40 miles jogging/walking.
    At least 2km a day.

    April
    1- 2km
    2-5km
    3-2km
    4-2km+1.5km
    5-2km+2km

    Goal week 1-- 15km
    Total week 1 --16.5km
    Yay!!

    1st - 47 mins Table Tennis
    2nd - 58 mins Zumba + 25 mins Bicycle (6.8 km) + 60ish min walk (5.2 km) = 143 mins
    3rd - Rest
    4th - 35 mins Table Tennis + 26 mins Bicycle (7.1 km) + 69 mins Zumba = 130 mins

    Total - 320 / 1,500 mins
    Remaining - 1,180 mins

    Today will be a rest day since I pretty much fainted during/after my blood test this morning so will be taking the rest of the day slowly to recover!

    I use my fitbit for walking miles, although I have never calibrated it. However I don't record the first mile it shows, as I'd rather record what I have achieved over and above a very lazy day. So whilst it's probably not that accurate, I don't over-record.

    cycling miles last night were google maps miles, otherwise I have a tomtom multisport which syncs and calibrates via strava.

    I record kilometres using Google Maps and/or my bicycle computer.

    I'll map out a route so I've got a pretty good idea of the distance ... I've got a bicycle computer and my husband has his + whatever he's using for Strava. At the end of the ride, all the numbers are usually pretty close to the same.
