    True. I was a girl scout for several years, but opted out just before I earned the "Junior" ranking. My parents wanted me to choose between Girl Scouts, Gymnastics, Soccer, Swimming, and Martial Arts (too many extracurricular activities to fund financially and emotionally!!) -- I chose Martial Arts.     Yes. One summer at a camp for kids with special needs. Toughest and most rewarding summer job ever.
