Your first Tattoo's & the story behind it

Boo... I can't show you my first tattoo as it is on my back and there's no easy way for me to take a photo of it. I can, however, show you the sketch the artist did before he put it on my back and did color work.
The concept is based off of a drawing of mine in relation to one of my favorite musical artists. There are lyrics that accompany it (above and below the image). Each part of this image, fox, flowers, centipede, skull, is representative of something, right down to the fox's eye color (which is green).
The lyrics go: "It's not for you to know, but for you to weep and wonder when the death of your civilization precedes you"

I received my first tattoo at age 18 ~ a tribal that really spoke to me. Years passed before I had my large Phoenix put on my back and others that mean a lot to me. I’d love a panther possibly on me too... such beauty and meaning. ... but the first is always a game changer.2

I am getting my first wedding band tattoo modified on the 16th Feb. I'm selling off my engagement ring and other jewelry my ex gave me to pay for it0

Compass. It was my goal reward at losing 60lbs. It represents both my love for getting off the beaten path outdoors and finding new direction in life.1 -

Wow. So much.
First congrats on dropping 60lbs.
That looks terribly painful.
Way way cool, I like compasses and your story behind it is great.
No: even though as a kid I was in the Navy, I've still not gotten one....YET!
Maybe if I reach my goal weight. MAYBE!0 -
Picture it Hempstead 1992: A young twitchy, freshly 21 and ready to prove her independence, sits with her legs crossed and her hip high in the air. She glances down to see the tattooist wipe away a smear of blood with blue disposable towel and she nearly faints.1

Loving the stories so far.
My first tattoo was on my 18th birthday and was some orchids to remember my mum who passed away when I was 9.
My second tattoo however, that's a fun one. I went straight to the nearest tattoo shop after my end of year exam after knowing I'd failed and would probably repeat the year. Me and some mates were talking about frogs for some reason before the exam so I figured that's what I'd get. Now I have a cute cartoon frog with a stethoscope on my ribs to remind me that (1) I'm an impulsive dumbass and (2) I will get through med school even if it means repeating a year and hating myself lmao
For anyone interested, yes I repeated the year but I've passed now first time round. Only 4 more years of studying and I'll be a full fledged (junior) doctor2 -
First one was on my shoulder blade and it says “all for love” as a reminder. All that I do or don’t do, say or don’t say is coming from / for love ♥️2
