POKEMON GO

I've been playing over my lunch break and after work (the grounds my building is on is a hot spot for pokestops/gyms). I've been logging at least 6 km every day! I'm making my boyfriend take me for dinner then wander around by work catching Pokemon. Ha ha.
I get razzed by my coworkers a bit... but I lost a pound this week, and they haven't... so...4 -
I think most churches are a pokestop actually.
Yes, the one right by my house is, so I walk up there every morning on my walk. But I don't hang around to hit it multiple times. I'm excited realizing that I could be getting six hours worth of Pokestops every week, especially making something I dread into something more fun! And I know that some other people at church are really into Pokemon, so maybe I'll make some more friends, too.0 -

Damn Skippy! Wish I had a BFF to go Poke Hunting with
Me too.
Caught a CP 961 Dewgong on my way home from work. Took over the station gym for a few hours, too!
Does anyone else find they can catch higher level Pokemon fairly easily at times with a standard ball, yet fail to catch low level Pidgey's(for example)? Sometimes even the Great balls don't work!0 -

It's annoying. Oftimes they're below 150!0
-
That is no lie! Weedle, pidgey, and rats below 200 are nothing but trouble! Niantic devs are probably laughing with all the failed balls thrown at those twerps!0
-
IKR? That's how I caught the Dewgong. Just one red ball.1

I'd actually be interested in stats for those 3 and how often they escape and run, I had a 500 bulbasaur take 12 rassies and 12 ultras b4 I caught him0

It seems completely random - I've given up on what should be an easy Drowsee or Pidgey and caught a Gyarados in one go. This is a good rough guide, though (the whole site is pretty fabulous - I got lost in it for hours, one night!)

Now level 18. My eggs sucked today: goldeen, caterpie and weedle. This dude just appeared in my bed:

Weather was crappy so only got 7 km in today (2 different walks). Hatched 2 eggs, one was a weedle I did find these two in the wild (new to me)

My son was super excited to find this in the wild the other day

Jealous! I don't have that one yet!0
-
That is awesome! Found a seel nest tonight! Got about 12 of them and hatched a meowth!!!1
-
I was at a Psyduck nest (it normally isn't one but tonight it seemed to be). I caught 8 Psyducks in 15 minutes. Now if I could only find a magikarp nest0
-
Lol those magikarp are dirty little fellas!1
-
I saw a gyrados nearby tonight but couldn't track him down b4 he disappeared0
-
Why does it take sooooo long to get to the next level?!
Sigh1 -
So the boy carelessly transferred his polywhirl one day and guess what we caught today!!! Sitting in McDonalds! he was very happy0

I've been wanting water pokemon for a awhile now. We went up to Lake Arrowhead this weekend and I caught a bunch of them! Lots of magicarp and goldeen and a few poliwags. Several psyducks a tentacool and two dratinis! I was pretty happy about that. ALso, the eggs that we put into incubators while we were at the lake hatched into water pokemon, so that was pretty great too. I only had a couple water pokemon before this.1

If you hold onto your pidgeys and don't evolve stuff right away there's a trick to getting a ton of exp points. Use lucky eggs to go on an evolve spree, don't use it for hunting. Pidgeys are only 12 candies to evolve and ratatas are only 25. Save them up and only trade in enough to cover all your evolves and then mass evolve. You get 500 points per evolution, 1000 if it's during a lucky egg. If you evolve a pokemon into a new pokemon when using the egg that gets you 2000 points at once. So, if you save your evolves and new pokemon evolves and knock them all out in one 30 minute session you can walk away with 20,000 to 40,000 exp points. Depending on how quickly you can do it. Still have to wait throough the evolve animation though.0 -

You're not catching enough pokemons
There aren't that many around here. I'm impatient. It was awesome when I went to San Francisco. Everything is so much slower when not there. Sigh.hobbeskastiel wrote: »_SummerGirl_ wrote: »Why does it take sooooo long to get to the next level?!

Thanks! I do try that...but the last couple weeks, it's been slim pickings if I stay in the same areas. I can walk an hour and just find maybe a dozen. But if I go walk somewhere new, there's more...but I don't always have time to drive somewhere new.
Have you noticed it gets more difficult to catch the stupid pidgeys and ratattas as you level up? They just keep breaking free...whereas sometimes I can catch a newer Pokemon with higher cp with one try. So weird.1 -

I wonder if what hatches makes a difference based on where you are.
That whole evolving eevie into what you want is a cool trick.1
